Kiran Taekwondo Art: Training & Champion Highlights
Welcome to the home of champions. From first kicks to Gold medals at the DSO School Games, here is how we build discipline, confidence, and strength in every student.
This is my wall of pride. A look at our students from the DSO School Games Taekwondo Championship. Seeing them return with 6 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze medal is the greatest reward for a coach. Shabaash beta!
A regular day at our Grant Road branch. We focus on the complete martial artist, from mastering Poomsae forms and practicing kicking drills to engaging in safe, supervised sparring. Every student, from beginner to advanced, gets personal attention.
The board breaking ceremony during a belt promotion test is a powerful moment. It is a test of not just technique and power, but also of a student's confidence, performed in front of proud parents and fellow students.
A proud moment with my students Kinjal and Asit after their tournament wins. Kinjal secured a gold medal, and Asit not only won gold but was also selected for the Regional Level. This is what dedication looks like.
Taekwondo is for everyone, even the little ones. At our Chembur branch, we teach our youngest students the basics of rhythm, coordination, and discipline in a fun and playful way. Their energy is amazing.
Fitness is the foundation of a good martial artist. Here, students at our Khar branch work on their speed and agility using ladders and cones. These drills are essential for building the athletic base needed for advanced Taekwondo.
We provide opportunities for our students to test their skills. This is an announcement for our own Interclub Championship, featuring events like Kyurogi (sparring), Poomsae, and speed kicking for all age groups.
Discipline in action. Watch our students as they practice their forms together. This synchronized Poomsae training helps build focus, precision, and a strong sense of teamwork within the class.
About Featured
When you step into our training, you aren't just learning a form, you’re working on the exact agility drills that helped our students win Gold at the recent DSO School Games. We skip the empty theory. Every session involves ladder drills, speed cones, and full-contact sparring gear to ensure every kick is precise and every move is functional.
Real Training, Real Results
At Kiran Taekwondo Art, we believe that confidence comes from competence. Whether you are a parent looking for a disciplined environment for your child or an adult wanting to build fitness and self-defense skills, our curriculum is designed to push you forward. We teach the World Taekwondo (WT) syllabus, which includes Poomsae (forms) and Kyurogi (sparring), but we go beyond the manual by adding speed-kicking drills and agility training that mimics real competition environments.
Why We Are Different
- Competition Ready: We do not just teach for fun, we prepare students for District, State, and National championships. Our focus on DSO rules and CISCE tournament formats has helped our students secure multiple gold and silver medals.
- Complete Safety: Sparring can be intimidating. We ensure a safe environment by using full protective gear, including chest guards and helmets, for all Kyurogi practice so students can apply techniques without injury.
- Personal Mentorship: From our Khar and Chembur branches to our programs in Tardeo and Thane, every location follows my 10+ years of experience. I personally oversee belt promotions and technique corrections, ensuring your child learns the correct posture and form from day one.
What to Expect
Classes are high-energy. We start with conditioning, move into technical Poomsae practice, and finish with sparring or self-defense application. We have students as young as 3 years old, and classes are grouped by skill and age to ensure everyone gets personal attention. If you are ready to start, we handle everything from your first White Belt to the path toward a 4th Dan Black Belt.
Kiran Taekwondo Art
I’m Kiran Gawande, 4th Dan Black Belt. My greatest joy is watching students who walked in shy and nervous grow into confident athletes who win gold medals. If you are looking for a class that combines tough, fun training with genuine care for your child's growth, this is the place.
