About Core Training: Kicks, Forms, and Fitness

My classes focus on a balanced mix of 60-minute sessions, starting with high-energy fitness drills like agility ladders and dynamic stretching. It is not just about learning to kick, but about building core strength and perfecting traditional Poomsae forms, whether you are a 3-year-old just finding your balance or an adult looking to get fit.

Building Your Skills

At Kiran Taekwondo Art, we believe the basics are the most important part of your journey. My training method follows a structured path. We start every session with warm-ups and conditioning to ensure your body is ready, moving into speed kicking drills and agility work. This helps improve your coordination, whether you are training for a competition or just for personal fitness.

What You Will Learn

  • Fitness & Conditioning: We use agility ladders, cones, and stretching to improve your flexibility and core strength.
  • Traditional Poomsae: Mastering these forms is essential for belt advancement and understanding the discipline of Taekwondo.
  • Practical Self-Defense: I integrate self-defense techniques into beginner classes, ensuring you feel prepared and confident in real-world situations.
  • Sparring Fundamentals: Once you are ready, we introduce Kyurogi drills in a safe, controlled environment using full protective gear.

Who This Is For

We welcome everyone, from 3-year-old toddlers in our kids' classes to adults in their 40s. I split classes by age and skill level, so you will always train with people at a similar pace. Whether you are aiming for a black belt or simply want to improve your health, there is a place for you here.

We operate across multiple locations in Mumbai and Thane, including Khar, Tardeo, Chembur, Grant Road, Wadala, and Dombivli, partnering with local schools and studios to keep training accessible.

I am Kiran Gawande, a 4th Dan Black Belt. For me, Taekwondo is about more than just medals. I love watching students walk in nervous and leave with the confidence that comes from mastering a new skill.
