From Diwali rangoli and Phoolon ki Holi to our annual Literature Fest, we believe learning extends far beyond classroom walls. Here, festivals and field trips are where friendships bloom and cultural traditions come alive.

We decorated our beautiful Montessori for Independence Day. The children created decorations, including a paper tricolor flag and paper chains, to celebrate our nation.

For Independence Day, we learned all about our nation through lots of activities, including coloring worksheets with India's national symbols.

A Happy Independence Day assembly, filled with patriotic songs, stories, and a dance performance by the teachers to celebrate our country's journey.

A touching moment from our Graduation Day. A father helps his child with his graduation cap, a milestone celebrating the end of their preschool journey at Kinfolk.

Our Kinfolk Literature Fest was a magical celebration of storytelling. The event featured inspiring authors, captivating tales, and puppet shows for our entire community.

Phoolon ki Holi! Our toddlers enjoyed a gentle celebration with flowers, while older children played with organic colored water and water guns. A day of pure, colorful fun!

Celebrating Republic Day with stories and art. Our little folks learned about India's journey and its national symbols in a fun, interactive session.

About this collection

We treat every festival and field trip as a chance for discovery, not just a break from the routine. Whether we are celebrating Phoolon ki Holi with flower petals or visiting a local fire station to see emergency equipment up close, the goal is for children to engage directly with the world around them. It is about building social confidence and curiosity in a safe, familiar group setting.

At Kinfolk, we view festivals like Diwali and Christmas as more than just dates on a calendar. They are opportunities for children to understand their cultural roots and learn about others, too. When we create rangoli or decorate for Christmas, the children are practicing fine motor skills, patience, and cooperation while having fun. We see these moments as part of our core mission: creating a community where children learn by doing.

Our field trips, such as our visits to the fire station, bring abstract concepts like 'community helpers' to life. Seeing a fire engine or hearing from a firefighter creates a lasting impression that a worksheet simply cannot match. It teaches children to observe, ask questions, and respect the people who keep our neighborhoods safe.

We also prioritize involving families. Our Literature Fest and community celebrations are designed to be inclusive, inviting parents and grandparents to participate. This strengthens the bond between home and school, ensuring that the children feel supported by a wider circle of adults. Whether it is a puppet show or a simple snack-sharing session, we keep our events focused on connection rather than performance. We believe that when children feel comfortable and celebrated in their environment, they are naturally more open to learning and exploration.

We built Kinfolk because we wanted a preschool that felt like a second home, not a busy maze. When you see our kids splashing in puddles or decorating for Diwali, you are seeing a community where children are genuinely happy to learn together.
