Celebrating Festivals and Cultural Heritage

At our HSR campus, festivals are immersive lessons. Through tricolor crafts, traditional performances, and stories, we help children connect with their roots while building a sense of community.

We celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with immense pride, beginning with a flag hoisting ceremony and the singing of our National Anthem.

Our campus is filled with patriotism on Independence Day. Children dress in tricolor, wave flags, and participate in performances that instill a love for our nation.

Unity in diversity shines through as our children sing patriotic songs in Hindi, Kannada, and Kabui, and dance to classic tunes, celebrating India's rich cultural fabric.

Our students embody India's legendary freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi and Savitribai Phule, bringing history to life with their powerful speeches and confident stage presence.

The legacy of heroes like Bhagat Singh and Dr. Ambedkar is honored by our senior children, who deliver their speeches with passion and historical understanding.

A look back at some cute and unseen moments from our grand Independence Day celebrations, filled with patriotic spirit and the joyful energy of our children.

About this collection

We believe children learn empathy and respect by experiencing traditions hands-on. Whether it is hoisting the flag on Independence Day or weaving torans for Ganesh Chaturthi torans for Ganesh Chaturthi (leaf garlands) for Ganesh Chaturthi, these activities are carefully designed to build fine motor skills, cultural awareness, and self-confidence.

More Than Just Celebration

At Global Montessori Centre and Play Home, we view cultural festivals as a vital bridge between home life and the school environment. Festivals provide a natural, engaging framework for our monthly themes, allowing us to weave history, art, and music into the curriculum.

Living History Through Roleplay

When children dress as figures like Savitribai Phule or Dr. Ambedkar, they are not just wearing costumes. They are researching, articulating, and embodying the values of equality, resilience, and education. This transforms a simple skit into a profound learning moment where they grapple with historical concepts in a way that is age-appropriate and tactile.

Inclusivity in HSR Layout

We celebrate the diversity of India by embracing multiple languages and traditions. It is common to hear songs in Hindi, Kannada, and Kabui in our classrooms. We believe that when a child understands their own heritage and respects others, they develop a secure sense of self. Our festivals are open events where parents are encouraged to join, reinforcing the partnership we value between home and school.

Developing Life Skills

Beyond the joy of the day, these events train kids in patience and social coordination. Crafting a rangoli or preparing for a performance requires focus and cooperation. It is this blend of cultural education and Montessori-based practical learning that defines the experience at our HSR campus.

We started this centre to help kids bloom, not just to teach them ABCs. Here, festivals are a way to make sure every child feels they belong to a larger, diverse community. We celebrate because it connects our little ones to their history and to each other.
