Meet Coach Donato: Fitness Through Play
I am Donato, and I believe fitness should never be a boring chore for kids. Through Kidonics, I turn every session into a wild adventure, helping little champs build confidence, leadership, and motor skills while they think they are just playing.
A group hug after a great session! Building a positive and trusting relationship with each child is the most important part of my job. These moments of connection and celebration are what make our Kidonics family so special.
Sometimes the kids become the teachers! Here, they're patiently teaching me the steps to "The Wheels on the Bus." It's a great reminder that we can all learn from each other, no matter our age.
Who has the right color? I love getting down on their level to play games with them. This kind of direct interaction helps build trust and makes learning feel like we're all just playing together.
Cooling down is just as important as warming up. We end our sessions with a calm circle time, where we stretch and talk about our favorite parts of the day. It's the perfect way to wind down after an hour of high-energy fun.
About Meet Coach Donato
My sessions at Kidonics are built on the idea that if a child is having fun, they will push harder and learn faster. We do not run boring laps or follow rigid routines. Instead, we use games like 'Steal The Gold' or 'Animal Flows' to build agility, balance, and core strength. This means your child gets a comprehensive physical education, but they only feel the excitement of a fitness party.
My Philosophy: Move, Play, Learn
I founded Kidonics because I saw a gap in how we approach physical activity for children. Too often, it is treated as a chore. My goal is to change that narrative. When kids are active, they are not just building stronger bodies; they are sharpening their minds, improving focus, and developing social skills through teamwork.
How We Structure the Fun
Every hour is carefully designed to keep energy high and engagement higher. We focus on three core areas:
- Agility & Coordination: Using ladder drills, cone grids, and obstacle courses to refine footwork and motor skills.
- Core Strength: We incorporate 'Animal Flows' like Bear Walks and Crab Walks, which are excellent for developing functional strength without the need for weights.
- Social Confidence: Team challenges and group games help shy children open up, learn leadership, and feel comfortable in a group setting.
Where You Can Find Us
Whether you are looking for group classes or personalized attention, I have options to fit your needs:
- Center-Based Classes: We run regular batches at Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana in Santacruz West, perfect for kids aged 3 to 12 who thrive in a group environment with a 1:10 coach-to-student ratio.
- At-Home Sessions: If you have a group of friends or neighbors, I can bring the entire Kidonics setup to your building compound, garden, or play area across Mumbai.
- 1-on-1 Training: For kids who need specific support, such as help with motor delays or sports conditioning, I offer private sessions that move strictly at your child's pace.
If you are unsure about the fit, I always recommend starting with a trial. No pressure, just a chance for your little champ to get moving and see if they enjoy the vibe.
