About Foundations for Young Athletes (Ages 5+)

We do not just keep kids active; we build the physical literacy that supports every sport they might play later. Whether using agility ladders to improve footwork or floor mats for introductory gymnastics, we adapt our station-based drills to ensure high engagement and safety, even in limited school courtyard spaces.

Our foundation program is built on the belief that athleticism starts with movement education. For children aged 5 and up, we focus on fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, balancing, and throwing, ensuring they have the technical base to excel as they grow older.

Why Our Approach Works

  • Station-Based Training: We maximize time on task. By rotating groups through different drill stations, we prevent boredom and keep heart rates up.
  • Holistic Wellness: We include basic Yoga and mindfulness drills in our sessions, teaching children how to stretch and calm their minds alongside physical exertion.
  • Safety First: With a strict 1:25 coach-to-student ratio and staff trained in First Aid, we ensure that while children push their limits, they do so in a supervised and secure environment.

What We Teach

We move beyond standard play to teach the 'how' of movement. You will see our students practicing handstands against walls to build upper body strength, working with hoops to develop coordination, and participating in fun group games that instill the basics of teamwork. Our coaches assess progress term-by-term, focusing on physical literacy metrics like stamina, flexibility, and participation rather than just competition. This ensures that every child, regardless of natural ability, feels a sense of achievement and improvement in every class.
