About Toddlers & Big Kids
Toddlers and older kids have a distinct energy that rarely sits still for long. Because of this, my studio sessions are designed as playtime rather than a strict photo shoot. We use interactive props like vintage telephones, toy pianos, and thematic costumes to keep them engaged, ensuring the final portraits capture genuine laughter and movement rather than forced poses.
When kids reach the toddler stage, the photography approach changes significantly from newborn sessions. At this age, it is less about delicate posing and more about documenting their growing independence and unique spirit. In my Malyana studio, I create a space where your child can explore, play, and feel comfortable.
The Approach
I focus on movement and candid expressions. Whether your child is into dressing up as a little fairy or loves the structure of a vintage-themed set, I adapt the environment to match their interests. By using props like wooden crates, macrame swings, and classic wardrobe pieces, we create a narrative for each shot.
