There's nothing like painting on location. Here's a glimpse of an outdoor watercolor session where we captured the light and shadows of the city scene right in front of us.
This video shows how a watercolor painting is built in layers. You can see the progression from the first light tone to the final details that make these pomegranates pop.
A finished watercolor street scene, framed and ready to hang. We learn how to capture the mood of a place, focusing on perspective and the interplay of light and shadow.
This watercolor piece is inspired by the amazing artist Milind Mulick. We often study the work of masters to learn new techniques for capturing scenes and figures.

A quick watercolor study of a neighborhood corner. These kinds of sketches are perfect for practicing composition and capturing the essence of a scene with loose, confident brushstrokes.
Practicing skies and clouds is a fundamental watercolor skill. In this session, we experimented with wet-on-wet techniques to create soft, blended cloud effects in our landscape paintings.

About Watercolor Wonders
We keep our classes relaxed and judgment-free, utilizing a 'Bring Your Own Material' model so you can start with the supplies you already have or grab the basics from our recommended list. Our studio in BTM Layout functions more like an informal hangout than a stiff classroom, so you can focus entirely on enjoying the process of painting without the pressure of getting it perfect on the first try.
Your 'Master Stroke' Journey
I call our adult watercolor group the 'Master Stroke' batch because it is exactly what we aim for—finding that confidence in your brushwork, no matter your starting point. You don't need prior experience here, just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy.
What We Cover
We go beyond basic washes. In our weekend sessions, we dive into:
- Technique: Mastering wet-on-wet for soft skies, layering to build depth, and controlling water flow to make your subjects pop.
- Composition: Learning how to frame a street scene, capture the mood of a landscape, or make a simple still life look three-dimensional.
- Reference Studies: We often study the work of masters and practice from live demos to understand how to approach light and shadow.
The Setup
Our classes are small—typically 4 to 8 students—which means you get real-time corrections and 1-on-1 guidance as you work. We operate with an informal floor-seating arrangement, creating a chill space to de-stress and make art. If you are looking for creative relief after a busy week, this is a place to disconnect and just create.
How to Join
We run weekend hobby batches (4 sessions) and intensive advanced batches (8 sessions) if you are ready to tackle complex architectural rendering or detailed portraits. We are flexible with timings, so we will work with you to find a slot that fits your schedule.
