About Upcoming Courses & Announcements
When you step into a 3-day intensive, do not expect a passive lecture. You will be on your feet, exploring vowel sounds, using puppets, and learning the rhythm of narrative craft. It is raw, it is messy, and it is entirely experiential. Whether we meet at the Kathalaya Center or on Zoom, my goal is not just to teach you a technique, but to help you find the ten expressive tones you did not know your voice possessed.
Your Path to Becoming a Storyteller
I have spent 45 years listening to the silence between words. My courses are not about memorizing scripts. They are about peeling back layers to find the story that is already inside you.
The 3-Day Intensive Experience This is my foundational training, available both in-person at the Kathalaya Center in Bangalore and via interactive Zoom sessions for our global community.
- Voice & Body: We work on pitch, pace, and pause. You will learn to use facial expressions and movement to give your stories physical life.
- The Toolkit: We use puppets, masks, and rhythm. You will leave with a physical course kit, handouts, and the confidence to perform.
- Certification: Upon completion, you earn a certification recognized by international storytelling bodies in the USA, UK, and Sweden. This isn't just a paper certificate. It is proof that you have put in the work.
Special Programs
- Parent-Teen Partnerships: I often host sessions where you can bring your teenager to learn together. These are beautiful opportunities to bridge the gap and weave a shared tapestry of tales.
- Residential Diploma: For those who wish to go professional, I lead residential retreats at centers like Fireflies. These go deeper, into the soul of shadow puppetry and extended mentorship, over 4 days.
What You Need to Know This training is demanding. You will laugh, you might struggle with a movement, and you will certainly be tired. But you will also leave with a cartload of experiences that stick. If you are ready to be heard, seen, and connected, I will be waiting in the circle.
