I have spent 45 years exploring the ancient, elemental power of stories. My workshops at Kathalaya are not traditional classrooms, they are experiential journeys designed to help you rediscover your voice and connect deeply with others.

I believe that what you take away from my workshops isn't just a set of skills, but a cartload of experiences. This is a personal invitation to join me in our sacred space and discover the storyteller that is already within you.

This is the heart of my workshop, a circle of connection. Here, we create a safe and joyful space where everyone, from teachers to parents to managers, can practice the art of active listening and shared experience.

We begin with the very foundation of storytelling: the voice. Through playful exercises with vowel sounds and body movement, we unlock the expressive tones and vocal clarity needed to hold an audience's attention and communicate with impact.

A story comes alive through emotion and expression. In my sessions, I guide you to connect with the heart of a narrative, using your face and gestures to build a world of images for your listeners.

For those ready to take the next step, my Diploma course offers a deeper journey. We explore advanced techniques like puppetry, storyboarding, and using music to become a truly professional storyteller.

The pride and joy on the faces of newly certified storytellers is my greatest reward. This internationally recognized certificate is more than a piece of paper; it's the start of a new chapter in your communication journey.

Listening to participants like Anjali share how the course freed them of inhibitions is why I have been doing this for over 45 years. Her journey from teacher to confident storyteller shows the true, transformative power of finding your own voice.

Some of my most profound courses are residential, nestled in nature. This video captures the serene atmosphere of our Fireflies ashram retreat, a place where you can disconnect from the world to reconnect with your inner voice.

About Featured

You do not need to be an actor or a performer to join my circle. In my 3-day intensive, we strip away performance anxiety by focusing on your natural 'Voice Toolkit'—simple vowel exercises and conscious body movement that unlock your ability to hold a listener's attention, whether you are a teacher in a classroom or a professional presenting at work.

Storytelling is not about reciting a script, it is about creating a sacred space where the listener and speaker connect. My approach, refined over 45 years, goes beyond simple narration. We use the 'Voice Toolkit'—a series of exercises focusing on pitch, pause, pace, and vowel modulation—to give you control over how your message lands.

What You Will Actually Experience

  • Active Listening: We teach you to quiet the noise, which is the first step toward effective communication.
  • The Experiential Method: You will learn through play. We use puppets, masks, and movement to remove inhibitions. If you are a teacher, you will learn how to hold a class of 40 children in silence. If you are a corporate professional, you will learn how to make your presentation a narrative that stays with your team.
  • Certification: My courses are internationally recognized. Whether you attend the 3-day intensive at Kathalaya in BTM Layout or join a residential retreat in nature, you will leave with a clear roadmap of how to use stories as a strategic communication tool.

My goal is to help you find your Anthardhwani—your own voice within the noise. You will walk away from these sessions not just with a certificate, but with a 'cartload of experiences' that changes how you interact with the world.
