Judo training for kids and youth in Delhi
Judo isn't just about winning medals. It is about body awareness, discipline, and building a foundation that lasts a lifetime. My classes at Kingsway Camp focus on natural movement, safety, and confidence for every child.
Teaching the next generation is one of my greatest joys. Here, I am helping my son with a backflip, teaching him body awareness and control in a playful way.
Look at the passion in this young student. He is practicing his backbends and handstands, building the flexibility and strength that will make him a great judoka one day.
About Youth Judo: Building Future Champions
The most important part of my training starts on the ground. We do not rush into complicated throws. I focus on 'Ukemi', which is the art of falling safely, so kids learn to move without fear of getting hurt. This gives them the confidence to challenge themselves and stick with the training.
Kids today spend too much time on screens. When they step onto the mat in my dojo, the phone goes away and the real work begins. We start with simple bodyweight exercises and gymnastics to get them comfortable with their own weight. That is how we build agility and balance from the ground up.
Judo is physics. I teach children to use leverage rather than brute force. They learn how to fall, how to balance, and how to respect their training partners. Whether it is 3 days a week or more, the goal is consistency. We train in a standard, no-nonsense setup at Kingsway Camp because I want them to focus on the skill, not on fancy facilities.
It builds mental toughness. When a child learns to stand up after a fall, they are learning a life lesson. If you want your child to be more than just a student, if you want them to be strong and disciplined, bring them to the maidan. Let us start with the basics.
