Fitness & Conditioning Training in Delhi
A strong body is the foundation for everything. My training goes beyond the dojo, combining intense cardio, flexibility, and strength drills to make you a complete athlete.
An outdoor training session with my students doing push-ups on the grass. Building physical strength and endurance is a critical part of our Judo program.
Running with my team near India Gate. Stamina is crucial in Judo, and we build it by pushing ourselves in different environments.
A warm-up session with a group of male and female athletes at a training camp. We prepare our bodies for intense practice with dynamic stretches and light cardio.
Using a simple park bench for step-up exercises. You don't always need a gym to build explosive leg power and improve your cardiovascular fitness.
Flexibility is key to avoiding injury and executing techniques properly. Here, I am helping a student with a partner-assisted leg stretch to improve his range of motion.
A simple but effective stretch to open up the hips and lower back. We do these kinds of exercises to keep our bodies agile and ready for Judo practice.
This wide-legged forward bend is another great stretch for improving flexibility in the legs and spine. I believe in writing my own destiny through discipline and hard work.
Using resistance bands is a great way to build strength for Judo throws. This video shows various exercises for the shoulders, back, and legs that you can do right on the mat.
This is a single-leg glute bridge, an excellent exercise for building lower back and hamstring strength. A strong posterior chain is essential for powerful throws.
About Beyond the Mat: Fitness & Conditioning
Forget fancy gym machines. We train for real-world strength—stair runs, calisthenics in the park, and partner carries. Whether it's the India Gate runs or the mat-side conditioning at Kingsway Camp, I focus on what makes you durable, explosive, and fast. If you're looking for a shortcut, this isn't it. If you're ready to put in the work, you'll see the results.
Building a Real Athlete
Fitness isn't just about how you look; it's about what you can do. My training methodology is built on the same principles I use to prepare Delhi Police teams for national competitions. We don't rely on expensive equipment. We rely on gravity, body weight, and pure consistency.
Why Conditioning Matters
In Judo and martial arts, your technique is only as good as your stamina. You can know the perfect throw, but if you're gassed after two minutes, you'll lose. My conditioning program focuses on:
- Explosive Power: Using resistance bands and plyometrics to build the posterior chain for powerful throws.
- Endurance: We use outdoor environments, like the areas near India Gate, to build lung capacity and mental toughness that a gym treadmill simply cannot match.
- Flexibility & Agility: Partner-assisted stretching and dynamic drills ensure you stay limber and injury-free, even during high-intensity training.
My Philosophy
I believe in the 'Desi' way. That means natural foods for recovery, discipline, and no shortcuts. We train rain or shine, in the dojo or out in the park. Whether you are a professional athlete or just someone wanting to get fit, the work remains the same. You have to sweat to earn it. If you are serious about changing your fitness level, come to the field (maidan mein aa jao) and let's get to work.
