About Urban Wildlife Rescue & Management
Why I Do What I Do
Wildlife rescue isn’t a job for me - it’s in my blood. I started learning alongside my father when I was 8, and now I help Mumbai and Thane’s residents handle unexpected animal visitors. It’s not just about removing creatures from homes, but about helping folks understand these wild neighbours. Most people think snakes are aggressive, but honestly, they’re just misunderstood.
What I Actually Do
I’m out there rescuing snakes from places you wouldn’t expect - inside apartments, parked cars, construction sites, even jogger’s parks. Whether it’s a harmless Indian Rock Python or a venomous Cobra, I use professional gear and make sure the animal and the people are safe. I always release them back into nature, keeping their well-being in mind. Humane wildlife relocation matters to me.
Birds in Trouble
During kite festival season, especially Sankranti, loads of birds get hurt by glass-coated manja. I’ve teamed up with local fire brigades to save Barn Owls, Black Kites, and others tangled up high, giving them care after rescue. Urban bird entanglement is a big issue here.
It’s About Learning Too
I’m all for education - sharing stories and photos to show why we see more baby snakes during monsoon, or explaining city animal conflict resolution. I also talk about conservation laws, especially for protected species. The more we know, the better we coexist.
What You Should Do If You Spot Wildlife
- Don’t panic (Ghabraayein nahi)
- Keep your distance
- Check if the animal is really in trouble
- Call for help if needed
I want everyone to feel confident and safe when wild animals show up, and help create some conservation awareness Mumbai style.

My Story
Hey, I’m Karan. Wildlife’s been in my blood since I was a kid, thanks to my dad—rescuer, teacher, all-round animal whisperer. First snake I saved? I was 8, shaking but hooked. We started Aasha Trust together, rescuing and learning every day. Photography grabbed me later, especially during lockdown when birdwatching kept me sane. Four years chasing one Indian Chameleon for a photo—worth every second. I’m just grateful to keep finding wild stories.
My Work
Wildlife Photography & Rescue - I click and film animals, mostly snakes and birds, and also do wildlife rescue—snake rescue Mumbai is my jam.
Snakes & Conservation Stories - Obsessed with snakes—showing their gentle side. I shoot everything from Big Four to rare pit vipers, telling real wildlife conservation stories.
Birdlife & Marine Life Photography - Love capturing Mumbai’s birds and marine life, plus the wild grasslands. Indian Chameleon photography is a personal highlight.
Education & Awareness - Make educational wildlife content about sea snakes, invasive species, and how venom saves lives. Knowledge beats fear, always.
