The annual kite festival, while celebrated, has a devastating impact on urban birds due to glass-coated strings (manja). I work tirelessly with local authorities to rescue entangled birds of prey like Black Kites and Barn Owls, providing them with the necessary care to hopefully fly again.
From Rescue to Release
A successful rescue doesn't end with capturing the animal. The final, crucial step is releasing it back into a suitable natural habitat. I carefully select release sites that are away from human settlements to ensure the animal can thrive and to prevent future conflict.
