About Wildlife Photography
Why I Do This
Wildlife photography isn’t just about clicking pretty pictures for me. It’s a way to connect people with the animals they barely notice in their busy lives. I’ve grown up rescuing snakes, and the bond I’ve built with the wild is what drives every shot I take. Bas dil se kaam karta hu (I just work from the heart).
What You’ll See in My Photos
- Each image is meant to tell a real story - behaviour, personality, survival.
- I love shooting in soft, golden hour light; it brings out features you won’t see otherwise.
- Wide-angle shots show animals in their actual habitats - not just portraits, but the whole scene.
- Sometimes, silhouettes and black & white add drama and emotion to the moment.
Where I Shoot
You’ll find me in the Western Ghats, Gujarat fields, Deccan Plateau, and Mumbai’s coastlines. I’m mostly in Maharashtra, but I travel all over India for assignments.
What I Specialize In
- Reptiles & Amphibians: My main passion. I aim to show their gentle side and break stereotypes with ethical wildlife photography.
- Birds: From huge Sarus Cranes to tiny kingfishers, capturing nesting, hunting, and territorial moments.
- Macro shots of insects: Extreme close-ups of spiders, caterpillars, and more. Patience is key here.
- Mumbai’s marine life: Unexpected finds like pearly sea anemones and file snakes along the city’s shores.
Why It Matters
Animal welfare comes first, always. I use my camera to raise awareness about habitat loss and conservation. Aap sab ne Sankranti par jamkar patang to zaroor udayi hogi (You all must have flown kites with great enthusiasm during Sankranti), but those strings injure birds. Through my photography, I want to spark respect and curiosity for nature, one frame at a time.

My Story
Hey, I’m Karan. Wildlife’s been in my blood since I was a kid, thanks to my dad—rescuer, teacher, all-round animal whisperer. First snake I saved? I was 8, shaking but hooked. We started Aasha Trust together, rescuing and learning every day. Photography grabbed me later, especially during lockdown when birdwatching kept me sane. Four years chasing one Indian Chameleon for a photo—worth every second. I’m just grateful to keep finding wild stories.
My Work
Wildlife Photography & Rescue - I click and film animals, mostly snakes and birds, and also do wildlife rescue—snake rescue Mumbai is my jam.
Snakes & Conservation Stories - Obsessed with snakes—showing their gentle side. I shoot everything from Big Four to rare pit vipers, telling real wildlife conservation stories.
Birdlife & Marine Life Photography - Love capturing Mumbai’s birds and marine life, plus the wild grasslands. Indian Chameleon photography is a personal highlight.
Education & Awareness - Make educational wildlife content about sea snakes, invasive species, and how venom saves lives. Knowledge beats fear, always.
