About Bird Photography Workshops & Guided Expeditions
Why I Do This
For me, bird photography is all about the story behind the shot. Sometimes, I spend months chasing a rare bird, like the Sri Lankan Frogmouth, and sometimes I just get lucky with a parakeet at sunrise. Every bird has its own tale and I love sharing those moments, not just as photos but as experiences.
Workshops for Beginners
If you're new to bird photography, my field workshops are the best way to start. We skip the classroom and go straight where the birds are. You’ll get hands-on practice, learn to use light, and figure out how to spot birds and photograph them respectfully. I’ll help you understand your camera, but also guide you on fieldcraft and ethics - no disturbing the birds, ever.
Guided Expeditions Across India
I run guided expeditions to Indian birding hotspots like Sattal, Sikkim, Goa, and Little Rann of Kutch. These trips are for anyone who wants to deepen their connection with nature and learn about bird behaviour, habitats, and migration patterns. We track, spot, and photograph a huge range of species - and you get all my tips, stories, and local know-how.
Chasing Rarities
For those after rare bird species expeditions, I offer custom trips to search for elusive birds. I’ve spent years finding tricky ones, like the Bar-tailed Godwit and Chestnut-headed Tesia. It’s tough, patience is key, but the payoff is incredible.
My Approach
I put ethics first. If our presence stresses a bird, we step back. I want this to be soulful, not just about the best shot. Let’s protect wildlife together.

My Story
Two years I chased the Sri Lankan Frogmouth - always hiding, never showing. Forests, guides, nothing worked. Then, one morning, boom, there it was. Pure magic. Sometimes, though, a Blyth’s Reed Warbler just pops up outside my window, no chase needed. That’s birdwatching - sometimes you wait, sometimes it finds you. I just love sharing these stories, the long hunts, the sudden surprises, the beauty of birds.
My Work
Bird Photography Across India - I capture birds from Goa’s forests to Himalayan peaks, always respecting their space and nature.
Ethical and Patient Approach - I wait for hours, sometimes years. Never disturb nesting birds. Their safety is always first.
Stories and Poems with Every Photo - My photos come with stories, facts, sometimes a poem - I want you to feel the wonder too.
Conservation Through Images - I believe in ‘Save earth’. My bird conservation stories aim to help people care about wildlife.
