About

Photography as Meditation

For me, photography is a kind of meditation. I’m not just clicking a button - it’s about tuning in, feeling the light, and connecting with the energy of the place and the beings around me. Each shot is a moment of stillness, a gift from nature I get to share.

My Approach: Fine Art from Nature

I aim for images that feel like paintings, not just snapshots. Sometimes I’ll wait for hours for that perfect golden light or mist. I like playing with slower shutter speeds to capture motion, especially with flamingos dancing in Navi Mumbai. Minimalism and reflections are big in my style - I want the photo to connect you with the subject’s spirit, not just show what’s there.

What I Photograph

Birds are my thing, especially flamingos, Sarus Cranes, Pelicans, Ospreys, Scops Owls, and Malabar Starlings - mostly in wetlands. I also track tigers in Corbett, wolves in Bhigwan, and African elephants in Amboseli. Even tiny creatures like damselflies and tent spiders catch my eye.

Conservation Through Images

My camera isn’t just for art; it’s my way to speak up for the voiceless. Wetlands and mangroves in Navi Mumbai, for example, are always under threat. I use conservation photography for habitat protection, hoping to make people pause and think - Aakhir kya chahte ho? (What do you really want, in the end?).

Fine Art Prints & Where I Shoot

I offer painterly wildlife photos as nature-inspired wall art, with prints up to 10 feet for homes or offices. My work has been shown at places like Kala Ghoda Art Festival. I mostly shoot in Navi Mumbai, Corbett, Bharatpur, Ranganathittu, Bhadra, and sometimes Amboseli in Kenya.

My Story

School days in Jamshedpur, flipping Sanctuary Asia mags, I got hooked on nature's stories. Back then, it was all about chasing the perfect shot. Then my guru, Shri Maitreya Rudrabhayananda ji, flipped my whole view. Now, photography’s my meditation. I try to catch the energy, the soul – not just faces. Folks call my portraits ‘therapeutic photography’. In the wild, staring down a wolf or waiting for a darter, patience becomes life’s lesson. Seeing Navi Mumbai’s wetlands vanish stings. My camera’s my voice for them.

My Work

Photography & Filmmaking - I shoot wildlife, fine art, portraits, and make films. Also do baby, family, and candid shoots.

Therapeutic Portrait Photography - I connect with your energy, making each photo a yantra. It’s a spiritual, healing experience.

Wildlife Soul Photography - I wait, I watch, I capture the real spirit—tigers, flamingos, whatever nature shows.

Spiritual Photography Workshops - ‘Sense the Light’ workshops teach you to feel and see, not just click. It’s about awareness.

Conservation Filmmaking - My film ‘Chalo Chanakya’ fights for Navi Mumbai’s mangroves. Filmmaking is my seva to nature.
