This is me in my studio with a finished piece that captures the raw energy I love to paint. This colorful horse, rendered in my signature expressive style with acrylics, shows the movement and power that is a hallmark of my animal portraits.
An acrylic on canvas painting depicting the Kambala, the traditional buffalo race from my hometown in Mangalore. I used explosive colors and dynamic brushstrokes to capture the speed, splash, and intense energy of this unique Tulunadu cultural event.
A serene depiction of Buddha in meditation, surrounded by lotus flowers. This acrylic painting focuses on creating a sense of peace and tranquility, showing a different, more contemplative side of my artistic range.
Titled 'Mother Love', this large 5 by 4 feet canvas shows the tender bond between an elephant and her calves. I used an abstract and colorful approach to convey emotion and the majesty of these incredible animals.
A classic seascape featuring majestic tall ships navigating the open water under a dramatic sky. This piece showcases my skill in capturing light, reflection, and intricate detail using acrylic on a 3 by 2.5 feet canvas.
A landscape painting of the historic Vijaya Vittala Temple in Hampi at sunset. My focus here was on the warm light and long shadows that define the ancient architecture, bringing the stone ruins to life.
Watch how a blank canvas becomes a vibrant, galloping horse. This video shows my painting process, from the initial sketch and color blocking to the final details that give the piece its sense of life and motion.

About Featured
Every piece you see here is an original hand-painted work, not a print. When you order, I ship it as a rolled canvas in heavy-duty protective tubing, which gives you the flexibility to choose a frame that matches your space once it arrives.
My Artistic Approach
I don't paint to fill space. My work is about capturing raw energy. Whether it is the frantic speed of a Kambala buffalo race or the quiet stillness of a Buddha portrait, I focus on movement. I use heavy-body acrylics and oil paints, often applying them with a palette knife to create a 3D texture that you can feel on the canvas.
Why Collect My Work
- Archival Quality: I am trained in art conservation. I use acid-free priming and UV-protective varnish so these paintings will last for over a century without fading or yellowing.
- Tulunadu Roots: Many of my works are inspired by my home, Kudla. You will find recurring themes like Koroda Katta or the Hampi ruins, bringing a piece of my culture to your wall.
- Direct from Studio: Because I work from my studio in Bannanje, Udupi, you are getting an original piece signed by me, complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Practical Details
- Shipping: I ship across India using double-reinforced PVC pipes to ensure the canvas arrives without creases.
- Framing: I include a 2-3 inch margin of blank or painted canvas around every painting, making it easy for your local framer to stretch it on a wooden frame.
- Consultation: If you are unsure about placement, I am happy to hop on a quick video call to discuss lighting and framing suggestions that fit your room.
