Real boxing is about more than just sweat—it is about technique, timing, and endurance. I coach based on the same drills I use to prepare for my own professional fights, focusing on what works in the ring.

Welcome to the first episode of my series, 'Life as a Boxer'. A boxer's day starts when most of the world is still asleep. This isn't just a workout; it's discipline and passion. Join me to see the daily grind behind the scenes.

A glimpse of me in my element during a sparring session. Training in the gym is one thing, but applying your strength, speed, and technique against a live opponent is the ultimate test. This is where all the hard work pays off.

Why should a fighter do thrusters? In this video, I explain how this full-body movement directly translates to punching power. Thrusters engage your lower body, core, and upper body in one fluid motion, just like a real punch. I also explain why using dumbbells is better than a barbell for this.

In boxing, you have to hold your guard up for 8, 10, or even 12 rounds. That requires serious shoulder endurance. I'm sharing two key exercises, the Ground to Overhead and Dumbbell Thrusters, that I use to build the stamina needed to keep my hands up and ready to attack or defend.

"Dekhna, ek din sab sahi ho jayega." Some days are a battle against your own mind. This session of shadow boxing, handstands, and medicine ball work is a reminder to keep fighting through the tough times. Better days will come.

Just me, the bag, and the sound of hard work. Heavy bag training is essential for developing power, refining combinations, and building the conditioning needed to stay strong round after round.

You chose this path. The hard one. You owe it to yourself to see it through. This session combines the grind of bag work with the raw strength of deadlifts, a perfect metaphor for the life of a fighter.

Why should you do skipping? It's more than just a warm-up. Skipping improves heart health, tones your lower body, burns a ton of calories, and enhances the mind-muscle coordination that is critical for a boxer's footwork and agility.

About The Boxer's Grind: Fight-Specific Training

Boxing isn't just about throwing punches; it's about holding your guard up when your shoulders are burning. In my sessions, we use specific movements like ground-to-overhead presses and dumbbell thrusters to ensure your muscles have the endurance to last all 12 rounds, not just the first one.
