The process of creating bespoke couture is a study in tension and balance. At our Defence Colony studio, we move away from traditional flowy silhouettes to embrace architectural form. Each garment begins with a digital sketch, but it is the construction—often involving 10 to 14 bones for our Victorian-inspired corsets—that defines the final silhouette.

The Anatomy of Our Craft

• Architectural Tailoring: We use heavy canvassing and horsehair braid to maintain shape. Whether it is a fish-cut gown or a structured bustier, the goal is a seamless, sculptural fit that stands on its own.
• Cord Memory & Surface Texture: We avoid mass-produced embellishments. Our 'Cord Memory' technique involves hand-knotted zari and 3D cording, which creates a textured, raised surface that shifts with the light. Each knot is a deliberate act, adding weight and character to the fabric.
• The Virtual Fitting Ritual: Crafting high-fashion couture remotely requires precision. We utilize a virtual consultation where we review fabric swatches, define your measurements, and discuss the specific structure—such as pre-draped pallus or corset back closures—before production begins. This ensures that the garment arriving at your door requires no further adjustment.
