About Our Clients, Our Muses
Every silhouette here is built around the anatomy of the wearer. When you see these fits, notice the posture. We avoid generic sizing. Our corsetry uses up to 14 bones to sculpt the waist, meaning these gowns hold you securely without the need for constant adjustment. When you choose your piece, we work with you on a series of mock-up fittings, ensuring the garment moves with your body rather than against it.
Witnessing a garment shift from a sketch to a living, breathing ensemble on a client is the core of my work. Whether it is the ivory gown seen on Lisa Haydon or a piece designed for a destination wedding, the goal remains consistent. I aim to translate personal narratives into structural design.
The corsetry is not merely decorative. It is functional engineering. By using hidden panels and industrial boning, we achieve the architecture seen in these photographs. It allows for the intricate draping, like our signature pre-stitched saris, to maintain its form throughout a long evening.
When you visit my Defence Colony studio, the process is conversational. We discuss where you are wearing the piece and how you want to feel. Is it for a sangeet where you need mobility? Or a formal reception where poise is the priority? We select fabrics like Italian Crepe or heavy Scuba that handle these demands. My team then builds the piece to your specific measurements, ensuring the fit is precise. This is not about fast fashion. It is about creating a keepsake that feels like a natural extension of yourself.
Kamaali Couture
I see every garment as a chapter in your personal story. My studio is where we balance the soft, fluid nature of traditional drapes with the rigid, confident structure of modern corsetry. I want you to feel powerful, not just dressed.
