Ever wonder how a sketch becomes your dream lehenga? I’m showing you exactly what happens in my studio, from hand-beading to the final stitch.

A glimpse into the process. Here, my artisan is hand-beading a colorful pattern onto what will become a vibrant, custom-made lehenga.

This video starts with a close-up of the intricate hand-embroidery process on a velvet blouse before revealing the final, stunning black and gold lehenga.

Watch as we hand-bead the fabric for a lavender mermaid gown. This meticulous process is what creates the all-over shimmer and texture of the final piece.

Every design starts with a sketch. Here you can see the hand-drawn pattern for a floral motif, which is then brought to life with sequins and feathers on the final gown.

A look at the thousands of beads being hand-sewn to create the fringe for a golden gown. This level of detail is what sets my custom designs apart.

About Behind the Seams: The Art of Customisation

Every outfit you see here started as a simple sketch on paper before my team got to work on the hand-embroidery. I don't believe in off-the-rack perfection; I believe in building your look from scratch. Whether you need a specific blouse back design or want to match your daughter's outfit to your own, we handle the beading, sequins, and stitching right here in my studio.

When you come to me for a custom outfit, you aren't just buying a dress; you're involved in the making of it. I want you to know exactly what you’re paying for, so I keep the process transparent.

How My Custom Process Works

  • The Sketch: We start by putting your ideas on paper. If you have a celebrity look you love or a specific color palette for a mehendi function, bring the photo and we’ll replicate the aesthetic.
  • Handwork & Detail: My artisans specialize in traditional 'Adda work', which includes intricate zardozi, stone pasting, and heavy sequin embroidery. Unlike machine-made clothes, this handwork gives your garment that heavy, premium look that catches the light.
  • The Fitting: Once the base is ready, we do 1-2 trials. I leave 3-4 inch margins inside every piece, so if your weight fluctuates or you just want a more comfortable fit, we can adjust it easily.

I work with mid-range fabrics like raw silk and net to keep prices accessible while giving you that designer look. Whether it's a reception gown with a long train or a haldi lehenga with mirror work, you get to choose the fabric, the work, and the silhouette.
