About Arangettam & Guruvandanam

For families organizing an Arangettam, we provide more than just the percussion accompaniment; we handle the rhythmic synchronization that dictates the dancer's or performer's stage entry and progression. We ensure the Melam ensemble creates a seamless flow with the performer, supporting every intricate step with the exact beats learned during their training.

The Arangettam is not just a debut; it is the culmination of years of discipline. In our Kshethra style of training, the percussion support must be precise, responding to the subtle shifts in the dancer's tempo. Our ensemble understands this connection, having performed for numerous Arangettam events across Bangalore. We ensure the rhythmic foundation of the Panchari or Pandi Melam is perfectly tuned to support the soloist, whether they are performing Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, or other traditional arts.

Equally important to us is the Guruvandanam ceremony. This is a moment of deep gratitude, where we formally honor the Gurus who have passed down the nuances of the Chenda, Ilathalam, and Kuzhal. Whether you are planning an Arangettam for your child or looking to host a traditional cultural program that requires authentic Kerala percussion, our ensemble brings the discipline of our academy to your stage. We manage everything from the ensemble composition to the transport and attire, allowing you to focus entirely on the sanctity of the occasion. Our goal is to ensure that the music remains faithful to the classical shaastriya shyli, providing an experience that feels as authentic in Bengaluru as it would in a temple courtyard in Kerala.
