About Our Energetic Troupe
It takes genuine physical effort to keep the Chenda beats going for hours, and you will see that dedication in every performance. We perform in traditional Kasavu Mundu attire, bringing the real Shinkari Melam intensity to your event. When you hire us, you get a team that loves to play, ensuring the rhythm stays tight whether it is a small sangeet or a large-scale outdoor procession.
We are a group of male and female artists who grew up with the sounds of Melam, and we do not just show up to play, we immerse ourselves in it. For traditional events, we use the classic Chenda and Ilathalam setup for pure acoustic percussion. We move together, we drum in rhythm, and we hold the energy for up to three hours.
If you are planning an outdoor baraat or a roadshow, our large 15 to 20 member ensemble is designed to cut through the noise. We do not need speakers for this, as the sheer volume of our percussion is enough to energize a crowd of over 500 people.
We understand that every event is different. That is why we offer everything from fusion sets with electric violins to traditional temple festival processions. We travel extensively, from our offices in Chennai and Hyderabad to Bangalore, Nagpur, and Vijayawada.
