Concentration is key! Here, one of our young students is carefully crafting a small animal out of fondant. My classes provide a space for kids to focus, learn a new skill, and have fun doing it.
It’s all in the details. This young pastry artist is completely absorbed in rolling and shaping her fondant. I teach them the same basic techniques I use, just on a smaller, more playful scale.

About Fun Kids Baking Camps
These workshops are not about watching, they are about doing. Each child gets their own workstation with kid-friendly tools, an apron to wear, and a recipe booklet to take home. We focus on real kitchen safety and the fundamental techniques I use in my professional studio, just adapted for smaller hands. Whether it is rolling fondant or piping cupcakes, every child walks away with a box of their own treats and a Junior Pastry Chef certificate.
My philosophy is simple: train them young. I started these camps because I wanted a space where kids could be messy, creative, and confident in the kitchen. We don't just stick to basic mixing; we dive into the fun stuff.
What your child will learn
In our Junior Chef Baking Workshops, we cover the essentials of baking and decoration. From measuring ingredients for cupcakes and cookies to the artistic side of things like fondant modeling and piping techniques, every session is packed with action. I make sure the difficulty level is right for the 8 to 14 age group, ensuring they feel successful, not overwhelmed.
The Lavonne Experience
We host these sessions at Lavonne Academy in Domlur, using the same professional-grade equipment I use for my adult students. It provides a real-world experience, but in a supervised, safe environment. I keep the staff-to-student ratio high so that every child gets the guidance they need to fix a mistake or learn a new skill.
Why it matters
Baking is more than just making sweets; it is about following a process, seeing a result, and sharing that joy. Seeing a child proudly present a fondant bear they sculpted themselves or show off their own decorated cakesicles is why I do this. They leave with a recipe booklet, so they can keep the fun going at home long after the camp ends.
