My Approach to Real and Honest Photography
Photos should feel like memories, not just staged frames. Here is a look at how I work to capture your family’s real story.
Being a photographer means I don't just document moments, I get to truly live and enjoy them with you. This video shows the joy and laughter I share with families during our shoots. It's a blessing to be allowed into your lives.
It takes just a couple of minutes for me to befriend these tiny humans. This video shows me interacting with a baby during an outdoor shoot. My friendly, gentle approach helps children relax and be themselves.
Want to elevate your own kids' photos? In this reel, I share my top three must-have props: a favorite toy, a fun storybook, and bubbles or balloons. These simple items can help bring out your child's personality and create magical photos.
I had the pleasure of documenting a Mumbai doula meet-up. It was inspiring to see the support they provide to expecting parents. It’s always wonderful to connect with others who are passionate about family journeys.
Another shot from the doula meet-up, where a mother and her smiling baby are engaged in the conversation. It’s a privilege to capture these community moments and the joy they bring.
An expressive black and white portrait of a young girl making a funny face. I encourage kids to be silly and show off their personalities, which makes for memorable and authentic photos.
A collage showcasing the many moods and milestones of childhood. From happy smiles to playful poses, these photos celebrate the journey of growing up.
A black and white collage capturing the genuine smiles and expressions of different children. It highlights my passion for documenting the unique spirit of every child I photograph.
About Behind the Lens: My Process & Passion
I don't believe in rigid posing or forced smiles. During our session, expect me to be making goofy faces, singing 'Ek mota hathi', or crawling around on the floor to meet your child at their eye level. My job is to make your family comfortable enough to just play and be yourselves, because those candid moments are the ones that actually feel like you.
Most parents come to me worried about how their kids will behave, but my process is built around removing that pressure. If we are in my Chembur studio, we have a library of props ready, but I prefer using items that already matter to your family—a favorite worn-out teddy, a storybook, or just a bowl of bubbles.
For outdoor shoots, I prioritize the golden hour. I don't just point the lens; I give you activities. We might walk, look for flowers, or sit and have a little picnic. This gives us space to capture genuine interactions rather than just smiles at the lens.
I work this way because photos should not just be things you hang on a wall; they should take you back to a specific moment. Whether it's a newborn session where we focus on their tiny, quiet expressions, or a chaotic birthday cake smash, I am there to document the raw reality of it all. If you have an idea or a place that is special to your family, tell me, and we will make it happen.
