About Family Portraits: Your Story, Your People
Forget the awkward 'say cheese' moments where everyone feels stiff. My sessions are designed around activities you actually enjoy, whether that is reading a book with your little one in my Chembur studio or letting the kids run wild at a local park. I guide the flow by playing games or simply waiting for that genuine laugh, so you end up with images that look like you, not a catalog shoot.
How We Make It Real
Photography is not just about the technical settings; it is about the feeling of being together. Whether we are in my climate-controlled home studio in Tilak Nagar or out in a sun-drenched park in Mumbai, my goal is the same: to create a space where you can forget the camera exists.
My Approach to Your Session
- The Comfort Factor: If we are shooting at home, I want you to wear what makes you feel like yourself. If we are outdoors, we focus on movement—walking, playing, and interacting—rather than static posing. This is especially important for families with energetic kids who are not interested in sitting still.
- Studio vs. Outdoors: My studio is perfect for those classic, clean portraits with controlled lighting and fun props like crates and vintage buckets. However, if your family is more 'nature and sunshine,' our outdoor lifestyle sessions are where we truly capture the magic of golden hour.
- The 'Indira' Touch: I have spent 13+ years learning that kids are unpredictable, and that is exactly what I love. I become their friend, singing rhymes and making silly faces until they are comfortable. When the kids are happy, the parents are relaxed, and that is when the best pictures happen.
Practical Details
I handle the direction; you just handle the love. My sessions are typically 90 minutes to 2 hours, giving us plenty of time to warm up. Whether you are a joint family, a new parent, or just looking to document a specific milestone, I am here to make the process easy and honest. I am based in Mumbai but am always happy to travel if your story is calling from somewhere else.
