About this collection
If the plating looks effortless, it is because it has been rehearsed many times over. Every meal here is a conversation between ingredients, where familiar street flavours like puchkas meet global sensibilities like black garlic naan. We prioritize a deliberate, slow dining pace, allowing for the subtle shifts in flavour to settle, so you taste the intention behind every bite rather than just the meal itself.
At Indian Accent, our approach to Indian cuisine is about finding a balance between our shared roots and new possibilities. We treat the tasting menu not just as a meal, but as a journey.
The Tasting Experience
Our signature 6-course Chef’s Tasting Menu is the most comprehensive way to understand our culinary philosophy. It begins with our famous miniature Blue Cheese Naan and pumpkin shorba, moving through a chaat course, appetizers, and main dishes like Ghee Roast Mutton or Jackfruit Kofta. Each menu is designed to highlight seasonality, using ingredients like Kinnaur apples or seasonal morels, paired with a focus on technique over tradition for tradition's sake.
Beyond the Menu
We view our space at The Lodhi as a sanctuary. The design is sleek and modern, utilizing soft lighting and open views to let the food remain the focus. For those opting for wine pairings, our Sommelier selects a progression of aromatic whites and light-bodied reds specifically intended to cut through the complexity of Indian spices, rather than overpower them.
Why the Bread Matters
Bread is never an afterthought here. Our bread bar is a core part of the experience, offering parmesan chur chur paratha and black garlic naan. These are served fresh, meant to be torn and dipped into black dairy dal or signature chutneys. It is a reminder that even the simplest elements of a meal deserve the same level of attention as the main course.
Practical Details
We operate on a reservation-based model to ensure the kitchen maintains its rhythm. We request a small advance to secure your table, which is adjusted against your final bill. The 6-course experience typically spans 2 to 2.5 hours, so we recommend arriving with time to enjoy the pacing of the courses.
Indian Accent
We believe Indian food should do more than fill you up; it should spark a conversation. My team and I look at tradition not as a rulebook, but as a starting point to introduce new textures and global techniques to your table.
