Timeless Still Life and Landscape Art Commissions
I create calm, classic art that brings a sense of quiet beauty into your home. Whether it is a rustic still life or a monochrome landscape study, I paint to tell your story.
A classic still life composition featuring earthy pottery. I used acrylics to build texture and capture the play of light on the different surfaces, creating a piece that brings a sense of rustic warmth and timeless appeal.
This video shows a glimpse of my first art display in Bangalore. You can see a variety of works, including a series of framed monochrome landscape paintings that explore the beauty of nature in black and white.
About this collection
When I work on still life or landscapes, I focus heavily on composition and the way light interacts with a surface. For my rustic pottery pieces, I specifically use acrylics to build up texture, which makes the objects feel three-dimensional and warm. Before we start, I spend time understanding your wall colours and room vibe so the final piece does not just sit on the wall, but actually belongs to the space.
Bringing Classic Art Home
There is a specific kind of peace that comes from a well-executed still life or a quiet landscape study. These subjects rely on fundamentals—the balance of shadow, the texture of a clay pot, or the vastness of a simple horizon. My goal with these commissions is to create a focal point in your room that feels grounded and timeless rather than trendy.
The Technical Side
I prefer using acrylics for these pieces because they allow me to layer colours efficiently, which is essential for capturing the play of light on different surfaces. For my monochrome landscape studies, the focus shifts to value and contrast, stripping away colour to let the composition do the heavy lifting. All canvases are primed medium-grain cotton, and I finish every piece with a double-coat of non-yellowing varnish to protect against UV light and dust.
My Process
I want this to be an easy process for you. It begins with a 15-minute virtual consultation where we talk about the intended space, lighting, and your personal taste. I will provide a conceptual sketch for your approval before I ever put brush to canvas. Once finished, your painting arrives framed—using standard box or floating frames in black, brown, or metallic finishes—with heavy-duty D-rings installed so it is ready to hang the moment it arrives.
Whether you are looking to fill a blank wall with a serene forest scene or want a custom still life arrangement that complements your dining area, I am here to help you get the sizing and theme just right.
