I love bringing cultural stories to life, like in this 'Doors of India' mural for Tablespace in Hyderabad. Each door is hand-painted with intricate details, representing the diverse architectural styles across the country. It’s a large-scale piece that serves as a constant source of discovery and conversation.
For this yoga studio, the goal was to create a serene and inspiring atmosphere. I designed a nature-themed mural that combines the calming presence of a tree with the graceful form of a yoga pose, reminding practitioners to stay grounded while they grow.
Art can be playful and profound at the same time. For this creative design office, I combined a classic Da Vinci portrait with a modern metal sculpture of the Vitruvian Man. It’s a nod to the masters that inspires the young design team daily.

I’m Shagufta and painting on walls is my thing - not just to add colour, but to give your space a real story. Art on a wall means everyone who walks in gets to feel something different. That’s why I started doing this - every blank wall is a nayi kahaani (new story) waiting to happen.

What I Do

My Story

Hey, I’m Shagufta. You know, life’s a constant juggle - being a mom, chasing dreams, and yes, painting big, bold art. My first mural in Nagpur flipped a switch for me, made me see walls as giant canvases. From there, Hopping Hare was born. Seventy-plus murals later, I’m still happiest with a brush in hand, splashing colour and stories where there were none. Art isn’t just my work, it’s home.
