At Hoo Hippocampus, festivals aren't just dates on a calendar; they are full-blown celebrations! Come over to our Koramangala centre for messy crafts, traditional stories, and festive snacks.

Welcome to my Holi party! This is what pure, colorful joy looks like. We use safe, organic colors, share stories, and enjoy delicious snacks, making it a fantastically messy and memorable day for everyone.

Announcing our super fun Holi Party! It's a day filled with the story of Holi, exciting water games, and of course, a delicious festive snack to refuel after all the colorful play.

Pongalo Pongal! There's nothing like celebrating a harvest festival together. Kids and parents get to see a traditional Pongal pot boiling over, participate in dances, and create beautiful rangoli art.

Join our Harvest Celebrations! We'll have storytelling, traditional dances, a Lohri bonfire, and the chance to see a Pongal pot boiling over. It's a beautiful way to experience these rich traditions.

It's time for my annual Pongal Celebration! We gather to make sweet Pongal, create art with flowers, paint miniature pots, and listen to wonderful stories about this South Indian harvest festival.

A glimpse into our Ganesha Chaturthi celebration. We start with a traditional welcome, then dive into a fun arts and crafts session where kids make their own Ganesha art using natural leaves.

Here's how we celebrate Ganesha! The day is filled with making eco-friendly clay idols, enjoying festive food, and creating beautiful memories with family and friends.

About this collection

Forget the 'don't touch' signs. When we celebrate festivals like Holi, Pongal, or Ganesh Chaturthi, things get wonderfully messy here. Whether it is painting with natural flower dyes, squishing eco-friendly clay for Ganesha idols, or getting sticky with festive treats, your child is the artist. We provide the materials and the stories, they bring the energy.

We believe learning happens best when you are laughing, shouting, and maybe getting a little bit of glitter on your shoes. At our Koramangala space, we do not do 'boring'. We take the traditions you know and love—like the story of King Mahabali for Onam or the science behind the Holi bonfire—and turn them into hands-on experiences.

Why our festive sessions are different:

  • We keep it real: We do not just talk about festivals; we bring them to life. We cook traditional food, sing songs, and make crafts using natural materials like leaves, clay, and flower petals.
  • It is a noisy, happy place: Kids do not need to tiptoe here. Our sessions are designed for engagement, whether it is participating in a Dandiya dance for Dussehra or learning the art of rangoli.
  • Local roots, big fun: We ground our events in the cultural context of Bengaluru while ensuring every kid, from toddlers to seven-year-olds, feels like a winner in our book.

What to expect at a workshop:

Our festive events typically last 60 to 90 minutes. We start with a storytelling session to set the mood—think myths, legends, and funny twists. Then, we dive into the 'doing' part. This might be making modaks, crafting ornaments, or doing a nature-based experiment. We always wrap up with a festive snack, because no celebration is complete without some yummy food. Whether it is a 'Ganesh Chaturthi' special or a 'Christmas' party, we keep the group sizes manageable so every child gets to participate fully. Check our schedule, grab your spot, and come join our noisy book gang!
