Whether you are building a succulent bowl or a lush closed ecosystem, I bring every tool, plant, and grain of soil you need. Just bring your curiosity.

Let's check out some of the beautiful plants suitable for an open terrarium. I always bring a wide variety, like Haworthia and the pink Earth Star, for you to choose from.

The Earth Star Plant is one of my favorites for terrariums. Native to Brazil, its showy leaves form a star pattern and it thrives in both open and closed setups.

This image showcases some of the top plants for a closed terrarium. These humidity loving plants are perfect for creating your own lush, self sustaining ecosystem in a glass jar.

Peperomia varieties are excellent for closed terrariums. They are compact, come in many beautiful textures and patterns, and are relatively easy to care for.

Fittonia, or Nerve Plant, adds a vibrant pop of color to any closed terrarium. Its striking, veined leaves come in shades of pink, red, and green.

Live moss is essential for creating a lush, green carpet in a closed terrarium. It adds a soft, velvety texture and helps maintain humidity.

The Creeping Fig is a charming vine that brings a touch of whimsy to your creation. It loves the humid environment of a closed terrarium and will happily trail and climb.

About this collection

I take care of the setup so you can focus on the creative process. When you walk into my studio or book a corporate session, you do not need to bring a thing. From the specific substrate layers like charcoal, soil, and drainage to the glass vessels and tweezers, everything is waiting at your station. I even handle the plant selection, sourcing hardy succulents and humidity-loving Fittonia so your creation has the best chance to thrive from day one.

Your Green Journey, Fully Prepared

Building a terrarium is as much about the process as the final piece. My goal is to remove every barrier between you and that moment of calm. By providing every material, I ensure that you are not just placing plants in a jar, but learning the science behind each layer.

What is waiting at your station:

  • Quality Vessels: Whether it is a classic open-top fishbowl for succulents or a 1000ml sealed jar for a humid ecosystem, the glass is always included.
  • Plant Selection: I select plants based on the environment they need. You will work with healthy, pest-free succulents for dry setups or vibrant Fittonia, ferns, and moss for closed terrariums.
  • Structural Layers: You are not just using generic soil. I provide the full substrate kit: Leca for drainage, activated charcoal for filtration, and specialized soil mixes designed for plant health.
  • Tools & Finishing Touches: Tweezers, brushes, decorative sands, pebbles, and those miniature figures that give your garden its personality.

Why it matters:

I have seen folks stress over sourcing specific peat moss or finding the right glass. When you join a workshop or order a DIY kit, you bypass the trial and error. You walk in, take a seat, and start creating. If you are planning a corporate workshop in Bengaluru, I bring this entire setup to your office. For home hobbyists, my DIY kits come with the same high-quality materials so your results mirror what we create in the studio.
