The Story Behind Happy Grandmaa Kitchen
Born from a Covid-time dream, our kitchen brings authentic Marwadi snacks, sweets, and pickles straight from Usha Dadisaa's recipe book to your home.
We wanted to share our story with you. It all started with a dream I had for my mother, Usha, our Dadisaa. This video captures the beginning of Happy Grandmaa Kitchen, a place where we turn her lifelong passion for making traditional Marwadi snacks into something you can bring into your home. As Mom says, this work started during Covid and just keeps growing because everyone loves a taste of home.
This is the heart of our kitchen, my mother Usha, your Dadisaa. Her warm smile and decades of experience are the secret ingredients in every jar of pickle and every batch of snacks we send out. When we say our food is made with love, this is who we mean.
Happy Diwali from our family to yours! This is our wonderful team, the hands and hearts that help Dadisaa bring her delicious creations to your home. We are so grateful for their hard work and for your support in making our kitchen a part of your celebrations.
"Har Ghadi Nashto Ghadi!" This is our motto, meaning every moment is a snack moment. And we believe every snack should be Grandmaa-approved. Dadisaa extends a warm welcome to you to try our homemade, traditional Marwadi snacks.
This is our brand new logo, a look that we feel captures the warmth and love of Dadisaa. It represents our commitment to staying true to our roots while we grow, bringing the same homemade goodness from our kitchen to more homes.
About Our Story: From Dadisaa's Kitchen to Yours
Every batch of snacks we send out is personally overseen by Usha, whom we call Dadisaa, to make sure the taste matches what she used to cook in our family kitchen. If she does not approve the seasoning or texture, it does not leave our home.
It started in our home during the lockdown. What began as a way to share comforting, familiar snacks with neighbours grew into something much bigger, but our process remains exactly the same as day one. We still make everything in small batches using pure ghee and mustard oil. You will not find palm oil, preservatives, or artificial additives in any of our jars.
Why Marwadi snacks? Because it is the taste of home. Whether it is our hand-pounded spice pickles, slow-cooked laddoos, or our crunchy nimki, every recipe comes from family traditions passed down through generations. When you order from us, you are not getting mass-produced items, but a piece of our family heritage.
We believe that Har Ghadi Nashto Ghadi, which means every moment is a snack moment. Whether you are looking for festive hampers for Diwali or just need a reliable chai-time companion, we are here to bring that warmth and traditional flavour to your table in Mumbai.
