Hands-on Workshops and Community Learning Events
Join us for practical workshops on urban farming, millet cooking, and sustainable living, hosted right here in our open-air community market.
Here's a glimpse of our urban farming workshop at Greenr Cafe. We believe in cultivating wonder and connecting people back to the soil. Participants get their own DIY growing kits and learn how to grow their own food, truly a farm-to-table lesson.
A farm-to-plate demonstration with Krishna Mckenzie. Participants get to harvest fresh produce like pumpkin flowers directly from the farm and learn how to create delicious meals with it. It's about creating a deep connection with the food we eat.
A clip from our Terrace Gardening workshop. We had over 20 people show up to learn about everything from making compost, which we call 'hara sona', to choosing the right containers for growing vegetables. It's all about sharing practical knowledge to help you grow your own food.
Want to make your 'ghar ka khana' more exciting and hassle-free? This is an invitation to our meal planning workshop with Shalini from Amiyaa. It's a session designed to help you save time and reduce stress while making daily meals that are varied, tasty, and healthy.
An invitation to our DIY Herbal Tooth Powder workshop. It's a fun, hands-on session for everyone to learn about medicinal herbs and make their own natural tooth powder to take home. We also play games and enjoy delicious homemade laddus.
A glimpse from our natural Holi colors workshop in progress. Kids and adults get their hands dirty, learning to make safe, beautiful colors from flowers and other natural ingredients. It's a joyful, creative, and eco-friendly way to celebrate.
More moments from our natural Holi colors workshop. Look at the joy on the faces of the participants as they grind flowers and mix powders. This is what hands-on, community learning is all about.
A storytelling gathering at the market with Gopal from Himalayan Trails. He shares folk stories from around the world centered on food, creating a magical experience for both kids and adults. You are always welcome to come and share your own stories too.
Here's a look at a packed weekend schedule at GOFM. We had a Meal Planning Workshop, a Bhangra Fitness session, an Introduction to Millets, and our 'Dariya Dil Dukaan'. There's always something new to learn and experience.
Another exciting weekend lineup! This schedule includes a Strawberry Planting workshop, a session on celebrating self through movement and art, and a 'Kahani Ki Dukaan' for stories. We cover everything from growing food to nurturing your soul.
About Learn, Grow, and Connect: Workshops & Events
You have seen the photos of us digging into the soil or learning to make herbal powders. What you don't see is the atmosphere: it is not a classroom, it is a gathering. Whether it is our Young Sprouts kids' activity or a millet cooking demo, these sessions are about getting your hands dirty and actually doing things, not just watching a lecture. Bring your curiosity and wear comfortable shoes, as you will likely end up sitting on a mat with new friends.
We started these workshops because clean food is just one part of the puzzle. The rest is knowledge. When you learn how to make compost, which we lovingly call 'hara sona', or how to plan your weekly meals to save time and reduce stress, you stop depending on industrial shortcuts.
Our workshops are not fancy. There are no AV screens or lecture halls here. We set up on mats in the park, outdoors, under the sun. You will learn urban farming, natural coloring for festivals like Holi, or even how to make bio-enzymes from orange peels. It is all about practical skills that fit into your daily life in Gurugram.
You will meet nutritionists, permaculture designers, and millet chefs who are as passionate about the planet as you are. It is a space to ask questions, share your own struggles with daily cooking, and connect with other families who care about what goes on their plate.
We host these sessions during our weekend market hours, Saturdays at Sector 29 and Sundays at Club 5. Check the schedule, sign up, and bring your thela for the market after the session. Come as you are, because the community is real, iski guarantee hai.
