Learn to compost, build with nature, and adopt a zero-waste lifestyle through our community-led workshops. No expertise is needed, just a willingness to get your hands dirty.

A look into our composting workshop at a serene farm. We show how kitchen waste can be turned into beautiful, nutrient-rich compost instead of ending up in landfills.

From collection to composting. This video shows how we gathered flower waste after Diwali and taught participants how to turn it into valuable compost in a matka (earthen pot).

Getting our hands dirty with natural building. Participants learn to paint a wall using paint made from natural ingredients, a fun and eco-friendly construction technique.

We believe in learning through play. Here, a young participant has fun with mud, an essential component of the natural building workshop.

A glimpse of our zero-waste cooking session, where we learn to create delicious meals while minimizing food waste. It's all about using every part of the ingredient.

Community composting is always fun. Here, our tribe is turning flower waste from Diwali celebrations into black gold for our plants, ensuring nothing goes to the landfill.

An awareness session on rainwater harvesting for villagers. We explain simple techniques to conserve water, reduce flooding, and recharge groundwater levels.

An invitation to "Putaai," our community wall-painting event. It's a chance to unleash your inner artist and eco-warrior by learning about natural paints.

Our "Jhola Gang" in action. We discuss and share our zero-waste habits, like always carrying a reusable bag for shopping, during our community chit-chats.

We practice what we preach. Our community meals are served on natural pattals (leaf plates) with everyone bringing their own dabbas and cutlery to ensure a minimum-waste event.

About Hands-on Sustainability Workshops

Our workshops are strictly hands-on, meaning you don't just watch, you participate. Whether we are turning your kitchen peels into bio-enzymes or mixing mud for natural wall-plastering, you will be using materials you would otherwise throw away. It is all about learning skills that fit right into your home routine, not just something that looks good on social media.

We believe sustainability is not an elite concept. It is the old-school wisdom our dadi-nani followed. Our sessions are built around this philosophy, focusing on the belief that your trash is your responsibility. When you join our workshops, do not expect a boring classroom lecture. You will find yourself on a farm or in a community space, often with mud on your hands.

Here is what you can expect to learn:

  • Composting: Learn to turn kitchen scraps into black gold for your plants, ensuring your food waste never hits the landfill.
  • Natural Building: We explore traditional techniques, like working with mud, bamboo, and lime, to understand how to build spaces that breathe.
  • Bio-enzymes and Upcycling: Discover how to make your own cleaners from citrus peels and repurpose materials, saving you money and reducing plastic usage.
  • Zero-Waste Cooking: Learn to prepare meals while minimizing waste, using every part of the ingredient.

We are a community-led group of volunteers passionate about restoring the environment, from cleaning up the Aravalli trails to reviving native tree species. Our workshops are for everyone, including kids, families, and professionals. If you are tired of the eco-anxiety that comes from reading about environmental crises, come work with your hands instead. You do not need any special gear, just a willingness to get a little dirty and a desire to learn. Our events happen regularly, mostly on the third Sunday of every month. It is a great way to meet like-minded people who are also navigating their own zero-waste journey. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your composting technique, you will find a place in our tribe.
