Acro & Partner Yoga Training in Delhi
Acro yoga is where strength meets trust. Whether you are a beginner or looking to master complex partner flows, I will guide you safely. Come, bend, try it.
When strength and flexibility come together, this is the result. A perfect example of a base and flyer working in harmony during our outdoor acro yoga practice.
Test your strength with a partner. This two-person stack requires immense stability from the base and core control from the top person. We build up to this level with specific drills.
This Purna Shalabhasana (Full Locust Pose) variation in acro yoga is an amazing backbend for the flyer and a great strength builder for the base. I always say, if you want to lift yourself up, lift someone else.
This sequence shows a beautiful transition in partner yoga, combining a backbend with a leg split. It’s a testament to the flexibility and trust my students develop.
Teamwork makes the dream work. This three-person acro yoga formation showcases advanced balance, strength, and the fun we have in our group sessions.
Here I am demonstrating how to safely guide a student into Urdhvamukha Tittibhasana. Proper technique and spotting are key, especially making sure not to grip the cervical joint.
A classic two-person pose that builds foundational strength and balance. The person on the bottom develops core stability while the top person practices a leg-split variation.
"Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam" - Yoga is skill in action. Here, two students hold a standing leg-split pose, showing beautiful balance and synchronicity during an outdoor class.
A beautiful partner backbend pose that deepens the stretch for one person while building strength in the other. This is a great example of supportive partner work.
This partner pose combines a Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) for the base with a hand-balancing act for the flyer. It’s an advanced move that we build towards.
About Acro & Partner Yoga
My partner yoga sessions are not just about the final pose. We focus on the grounding—how the base supports the flyer, and how to communicate clearly before we even leave the ground. I pay close attention to your alignment, especially around the neck and shoulders, to ensure you are safe while you push your physical limits. If you have a partner, bring them. If not, I will pair you with someone from my Abhyaas cohort so you can start practicing immediately.
Building Strength Through Trust
Acro and partner yoga is a unique way to build core stability and body awareness. In my sessions at the Pitampura studio and our outdoor Model Town batches, we break down complex sequences into manageable steps. We start by establishing the connection between the base (the person providing support) and the flyer (the person in the air). Without clear communication and physical trust, advanced balances like the Purna Shalabhasana variation or partner handstands are impossible.
Why Technique Matters More Than Force
I often see students trying to force a pose, which is when injuries happen. My approach is different. We focus on PNF stretching to improve your range of motion safely. When we work on inversions or partner lifts, we use specific drills to ensure the base has the strength to hold the flyer and the flyer has the core control to remain stable. For example, when guiding a student into Urdhvamukha Tittibhasana, I am strict about how you grip—I ensure you are not putting pressure on the cervical joint.
