Acro & Partner Yoga: Build Trust and Strength Together
Yoga is not just a solo journey. In these sessions, we use teamwork and mutual support to help you achieve balance and postures you never thought possible.
Here we are exploring a creative group formation in our Acro Yoga class. This practice is a beautiful way to build connection and achieve poses you never thought possible.
An outdoor Acro Yoga session in progress. The student acting as the 'flyer' is supported by the 'base' in a variation of Downward-Facing Dog, building core strength and trust.
A classic Acro Yoga pose, the 'back bird', which helps open the chest and spine for the flyer. As the base, I ensure stability and support throughout the posture.
A moment of harmony and balance with my students. Group Acro Yoga formations like this one are a testament to our collective focus, strength, and teamwork.
This dynamic group pose showcases a combination of balance, strength, and flexibility from every participant. It's a powerful example of what we can create together.
Combining Acro Yoga with aerial silks adds another dimension of support and challenge. Here, we use the hammock to assist with a partner backbend, allowing for a deeper stretch.
Two students work together in a partner pose, with one using the aerial hammock for support. This demonstrates how we blend different yoga styles in our studio.
I am providing hands-on guidance during an aerial Acro Yoga pose to ensure correct alignment and safety. My focus is always on supporting my students' progress.
This image captures the trust between the base (me) and the flyer during an Acro Yoga backbend. It's a practice that strengthens both the body and interpersonal connections.

About Acro & Partner Yoga: Trust & Teamwork
Acro yoga is not just about showing off fancy shapes. It is about learning to balance your weight while supporting someone else's. Whether you are the 'base' holding the posture or the 'flyer' finding your stability, we use floor crash mats and hands-on spotting to make sure you feel completely safe while pushing your physical limits.
Think of Acro Yoga as a dance of communication. It is a playful, dynamic practice where we move together, relying on each other to build shapes that are impossible to create alone.
How We Practice
We break down complex partner poses into simple, manageable steps. You don't need to be an acrobat to start. We focus on:
- Trust Building: Learning to let go and trust your partner to hold your weight.
- Core Engagement: You will find that balancing with another person engages your muscles in a completely different way than solo asanas.
- Safety First: Whether we are doing standing poses or low-level floor work, my priority is ensuring proper alignment and using crash mats to prevent injury.
We often mix these sessions with aerial silks to decompress the spine or use simple partner asanas to help open the chest and shoulders. These aren't competitive workouts. Yahan pe hum ek dusre ko support karte hain (Here, we support each other), regardless of whether you are joining us at our 21 Fitness studio in Greater Kailash or our Noida location. If you are looking to break the monotony of your standard gym routine and add some fun, laughter, and connection to your fitness journey, come join the group.
