About Paw-try & Whimsical Wares
When I hand-build these pieces, I am not just making a shape; I am sculpting personality. Whether it is the exact curve of a cat’s tail for a ring dish or the specific, goofy expression on a bear-faced mug, these tiny details are all done by hand before the piece hits the kiln.
I started GOAK Ceramics to share the joy of slow, intentional craft, and the Paw-try collection is exactly that—pure fun. Every piece here, from my signature bunny-topped candle jars to those cheeky dog-butt bookmarks, comes out of my Indiranagar studio in small, thoughtful batches. These are not mass-produced; they are the result of me getting messy with clay to see what personality emerges.
I use high-fired stoneware that is lead-free and food-safe, so your bear-faced mug is not just cute—it is fully functional for your morning coffee. For the smaller items like incense holders and ring dishes, I use a specific 'scrap clay' technique. I repurpose offcuts from my larger wheel-thrown projects to minimize waste while hand-sculpting the little animal faces that make each piece feel unique.
I am based in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, where I host my workshops and manage all my firing and glazing. Because these are hand-sculpted, no two are identical. The expression on one dog-faced vase might be slightly different than the next, and that is the beauty of it. If you are looking for a gift that is genuinely different or just want to add a bit of whimsy to your workspace, these pieces are made to do exactly that.
