About Self-Defense Workshops
What Makes Us Different
Humara ek hi rule hai (We have only one rule): The more you sweat in dojo, the less you bleed in combat. At Gojudo Karate, I keep it practical - no fancy movie stunts, just street-smart self defense that actually works when things get tough. Hum sirf punches aur kicks nahi sikhate (We don't just teach punches and kicks), I want you to walk out more confident and ready.
Who Can Join
Self-defense is for sab log (everyone). I've run workshops for women, corporate teams, and even the visually impaired. For women's safety training, I focus on simple moves anyone can use. Corporate team self-defense session? I bring the action to your office, and it’s always a solid ice-breaker. For NGOs and community groups, I adapt the lessons so everyone feels included - feedback is usually “mast!” (awesome).
What You’ll Learn
My sessions are hands-on, thoda fun bhi (a little fun too), but when it’s time to train, we get serious. You’ll pick up:
- Basic strikes and blocks
- Escape moves for common grabs
- Tips to spot trouble before it starts
- Info on emergency helplines
We train at our Prabhadevi dojo, or I can come to you. Free community workshops bhi hote hain (we do free ones too), especially for special events. For me, safety is not just a skill, it's a mindset.

Gojudo Karate
My Story
We are Gojudo Karate Training Academy. Sab kuch shuru hua Grand Master Ramesh Parab Sir ke saath, Limca Book record holder. Unki guidance mein hum sabne seekha, aur ab hum unki legacy ko aage le ja rahe hain. Tradition important hai, but hum naya bhi try karte hain - jaise 'Bunty Jump', ek move jo humne hi invent kiya! Dojo toh ghar jaisa hai, yaha practice, birthdays, cricket sab hota hai. Hum workshops free mein bhi karte hain, especially for ladies and visually impaired. Mhari chhoriyaan chhoro se kam nahi! (Our girls are no less than boys!)
My Work
Traditional Karate Classes & Workshops - We train kids, adults, conduct women’s self-defence workshop, and even adaptive karate for visually impaired groups.
Old-School Training Style - Discipline, kata, kumite, conditioning - hum maante hain, zyada sweat in dojo, kam blood in combat.
Experienced Senseis & Senpais - Our instructors are award-winning, decades of experience, teaching what they learnt from their gurus.
Dojo Community & Bordi Camp - We’re a family - exams, belt ceremonies, and our annual Bordi karate camp bring everyone together.
