Luxury Villas & Weekend Homes
We design retreats that function as natural extensions of the landscape, prioritizing clear views and long-term structural integrity over passing trends.
This is an outdoor seating area of a weekend home we designed in the Khandala valley. The covered patio seamlessly connects the indoor living space with the pool and lawn, offering picturesque views and a perfect space for relaxation.
The double-height living room of the Khandala weekend home. We designed this expansive space with large windows to frame the stunning valley views, while the use of leather and wood brings warmth and richness to the interior.
An ornate laser-cut metal screen provides privacy and a beautiful design element to the balcony of this Khandala home. This detail shows our commitment to adding artistic and functional touches to our architectural work.
The pool and gazebo area of our Khandala valley project. Surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views, this space was designed to be the ultimate spot for relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of the location.
A walkthrough of a villa we designed on a mountaintop in Alibaug. The interiors have a tropical and breezy feel, with a neutral color palette, natural materials, and arched doorways that open up to stunning views of the surrounding hills.
This video shows the work in progress at a lavish villa we are designing in Lonavala. You can see the strong concrete structure taking shape, including a dramatic spiral staircase that will be a central feature of the home.
From a 3D render to an active construction site, this video shows the progress of a neoclassical home we are building in Thane. It is always exciting to see our designs physically take shape, with the foundation and structural frame now in place.
About Bespoke Villas & Weekend Homes
When we approach a weekend home, our priority is the transition between your indoor living area and the immediate landscape. We avoid creating isolated boxes; instead, we extend the floor plate so that a valley view or a garden becomes a functional part of your seating arrangement, ensuring you actually use the outdoor space you have invested in.
Designing a weekend home requires a different set of rules than designing a primary residence in Mumbai. Because these homes often sit in challenging terrains like the Khandala valley or Alibaug hills, we focus heavily on cross-ventilation and thermal regulation. We align the building orientation with the sun path to ensure your living spaces stay cool without over-relying on air conditioning.
Our process relies on natural materials—stone, wood, and metal—that age gracefully rather than deteriorating after a few monsoons. We avoid the common trap of over-decorating. If you have an awkward column or a structural slope, we don't hide it behind false walls. We integrate it into the room's function, perhaps turning it into a support for shelving or a visual anchor for the room.
Whether you are building a neoclassical villa or a minimalist retreat, we focus on the raw structure first. Our site visits are about verifying that the concrete work is solid before we ever talk about finishings. If you have a specific view you want to capture or a site slope that feels problematic, we treat that as the starting point of the design, not a constraint to be worked around.
