Traditional Karate & Weapon Arts Training
Build discipline, focus, and strength through traditional Karate and Silambam. From beginners to advanced, we help you master the technique with consistency.
Our Karate Master, Raju, demonstrating techniques with a bow staff. Weapon training, or Silambam, is an advanced discipline that improves coordination and focus.
About Traditional Karate & Weapon Arts
At our Banashankari and RR Nagar centers, we do not just teach the kata; we teach you how to bring the joragi—the focused force—into every strike. Whether you are learning the fluidity of Silambam or perfecting your Karate stance, we emphasize safe, repetitive form on our high-density safety mats until it becomes muscle memory.
Building Discipline Through Tradition
Martial arts is more than just fighting. It is about patience, respect, and learning to control your own body. At Fly High Academy, our traditional Karate and weapon arts classes are designed to build your focus from the ground up. Whether you are a total beginner who has never thrown a punch or a student looking to refine your Silambam technique, we break down every movement.
The Fly High Method
We practice in a warehouse-style setting that keeps the energy high and the distractions low. Our floors are covered with high-density EVA interlocking safety mats, which are essential for safe barefoot training.
- Karate: We focus on foundational stances, strikes, and kata. You will learn the mechanics of power and speed, ensuring your technique is crisp and effective.
- Silambam & Weapon Arts: This is where coordination meets tradition. We use the bow staff to teach you how to maintain control, balance, and rhythm. It is a fantastic way to sharpen your reflexes.
- Safe Progression: I constantly tell my students, hogli hogli (keep at it). Progress is a journey. We use spotting and drill-based training to ensure you are comfortable before moving to more complex sequences.
Why Train With Us?
Our classes are not about ego. They are about community and personal growth. You will be training in a cohort of 10 to 15 students, which allows us to provide individual attention. If you are struggling with a move, we slow it down, correct your posture, and ensure you are safe before you attempt it again. We want you to walk away from every 60 to 75-minute session feeling that bisi—the buzzing energy of a workout well done—and a little closer to your next belt.
