Competing isn't just about the trophy. It’s a masterclass in discipline and understanding how your body responds to training. Here is my own prep journey, from the off-season build to the final stage shred.

To achieve the physique on the right, you have to be comfortable with the physique on the left. Natural bodybuilding requires a gaining phase to build muscle, which means accepting a higher body weight and less definition before you can shred down.

I became the ICN India Bikini Overall Champion. This was a dream come true after deciding to compete again with my best conditioning ever. This picture with my trophies represents months of hard work and dedication.

About My Bikini Competition Prep

You see the stage photos and think it is all glitz, but the reality is months of eating enough to build muscle followed by calculated, slow shedding. I didn't rely on magic pills or crash diets to get stage-ready. This prep was about balancing hormones, managing recovery, and staying drug-free to prove that real, lasting results require patience, not shortcuts.

Beyond the Stage

Natural bodybuilding is not about quick fixes. To achieve the stage-ready look you see in these photos, I had to undergo a structured 'gaining phase' where I deliberately ate to build muscle, accepting that my weight would go up before it came down. This is the part most people fear, but it is necessary for a balanced physique.

My Approach to Prep

  • The Build: We prioritize progressive overload. I don't just lift to sweat; I lift to get stronger. That means tracking reps, weights, and form to ensure muscle growth.
  • The Shred: When it is time to lean out, we do it slowly. Sudden drops in calories ruin your metabolism and kill your hormone health. We track macros, not just calories, to ensure we keep the muscle we worked so hard to build.
  • Posing is a Skill: A great physique needs to be presented correctly. I practice my posing to showcase symmetry and muscle definition, which is just as important as the training itself.

Why Natural Matters

I compete in drug-free federations like the WNBF and ICN. This means every athlete has to undergo strict polygraph testing. It ensures a level playing field.
