Varna Paint Factory Design, Dobbespet
A functional industrial facility in Dobbespet, showcasing the integration of heavy-duty structural steel with exposed brick masonry.
The loading bay of the Varna Paint Factory in Dobbespet, completed in 2017. This image highlights our approach to industrial architecture, where functionality is expressed through bold design. The prominent red structural steel frame contrasts with the exposed brickwork, creating a strong visual identity for a heavy-duty workspace.
About Industrial Facility: Varna Paint Factory, Dobbespet
Designing an industrial facility requires precise zoning for raw material flow and logistics. For the Varna Paint Factory, we utilized a prominent red structural steel frame to support the loading bays, ensuring heavy-duty performance while maintaining clear and efficient circulation paths for transport vehicles.
Functional Industrial Design
Industrial architecture involves more than just large spans and durable materials. It requires a logical layout that accounts for site accessibility, utility placement, and employee safety. At the Varna Paint Factory in Dobbespet, we focused on the integration of Pre-Engineered Building systems with traditional brick masonry.
Material Selection
We specify exposed wire-cut brickwork to lower maintenance costs and provide thermal mass. The use of red steel structure serves a dual purpose: it acts as a robust load-bearing system for the loading dock canopies and establishes a visual language that signifies the operational nature of the building. This combination reduces reliance on frequent exterior painting, which is essential for industrial maintenance in the Karnataka climate.
Site Integration
Located in the KIADB industrial zone, the facility was designed to meet strict industrial norms while incorporating necessary civil structures like vacuum de-watered flooring to handle heavy machinery loads. Our design process includes:
- Strategic site zoning for raw material logistics.
- Integration of turbo ventilators for passive cooling.
- Placement of loading bays for all-weather protection.
We bring this same rigour to all our industrial projects across Bangalore, Hosur, and Hosakote.
