We guide you through the foundations of art—from freehand sketching to structural anatomy. Join our structured 3-month module in Jayanagar to build discipline, observe with clarity, and find your own artistic voice.

Here, one of our mentors demonstrates a two-point perspective drawing. Understanding perspective is a fundamental skill we teach to help students create drawings with realistic depth and structure.

To draw well, you must first understand the form. This detailed sketch of an eye shows our focus on structured anatomy, teaching students to see and render the complexities of the human form before jumping to shading.

Our animal study series focuses on capturing the form and anatomy of different creatures. Here, students practice sketching a rhinoceros, learning to translate its powerful structure onto paper with guidance from our mentors.

Observation is the first step in drawing. In this session, a student carefully studies the movement and form of a turtle projected on screen, a practice that hones the eye for detail required in realistic art.

Students practice freehand sketching, focusing on capturing the form and lines of bulls. This exercise builds confidence and improves line quality, a core part of our foundation course.

Another view of our freehand sketching practice. Each student works on interpreting the anatomy of the bull, developing their own hand-eye coordination and understanding of animal forms.

A student adds detail to their freehand sketch of bulls. This practice is not just about copying, but about understanding the underlying structure and expressing it through confident lines.

This image captures a student deeply focused on their freehand drawing. Repetitive practice like this is essential for building the muscle memory required for advanced sketching.

From another angle, we see a student working on their bull sketch. Our classroom setup allows for individual focus while being part of a collective, creative energy.

About Foundation in Sketching & Drawing

In our foundation classes, we follow a simple rule: do not use an eraser. When you draw a wrong line, let it stay. This practice forces you to observe closely and trust your hand-eye coordination rather than correcting mistakes immediately. It is how you develop the confidence to sketch freehand, accurately translating what you see onto paper without relying on crutches.
