The Founder's Journey: How I Craft Fika Soaps
Take a peek into my studio in Malad. This is where my obsession with pure, cold-process soap comes to life—the mess, the hustle, and the slow art of making skincare you can actually trust.
They say "you're being unrealistic." I say, "good." This is me in demon mode, fueled by a 24/7 obsession to build this brand. I believe hard work is the only way to win, and I'm not stopping until the market is mine.
They say I got lucky. I say, the harder you work, the luckier you get. This video shows the transformation of my workspace, from a humble kitchen to a fully equipped studio. It's a testament to creating your own future.
Starting a business is the greatest personal development journey. It forces you to push your limits and do things that scare you. This is my life these days: growing, believing, and working towards a sustainable dream.
This is the "Behind The Suds" studio view. Turning lye, oils, and a whole lot of passion into a business is relentless, but seeing these gorgeous bars makes it all worth it. This is the real, unglamorous side of the hustle.
A peaceful corner in the heart of Mumbai. This is my studio, a space where I craft plant-based skincare with intention and love. It's my sanctuary where I create quiet luxury for you and your skin.
The entrepreneur journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Some days I crush it, other days I just persist. This video shows the steady, daily grind of pouring, texturing, and cutting that moves the needle forward every single day.
POV: You're finally home and ready to ditch the day's drama. This is your personal happy hour. The satisfying process of cutting these beautiful marbled soaps is a ritual that brings me peace after a long day of work.
A glimpse behind the scenes at Studio Fika. This is the care and intention that goes into every product, from pouring liquid gold oils to mixing ingredients, cutting bars, and finally, packaging orders by hand.
What if your skincare was made with heart, not just machines? This video shows the perfectly imperfect nature of hand-cut soaps and the small-batch love that goes into every bar. This is the heartmade difference.
You deserve to have access to clean and healthy products every day. That's my core belief, and it's what drives me to meticulously cut each bar, ensuring the highest quality from my hands to yours.
About The Founder's Journey: Behind the Brand
When you choose a cold-process soap, you are waiting for chemistry and time to do their work. Every batch I pour takes 4 to 6 weeks to cure. This ensures the natural glycerin is retained and the bar is hard enough to last in your shower. When you see a batch cut, that represents the end of a long, quiet process where I control everything from the oils to the paper wrapping.
Building Fika hasn't been a straight road. It has been a process of trial, error, and a relentless commitment to a few core rules. I do not use palm oil, I do not use harsh chemicals, and I do not rush the production. Every bar is made from plant-based oils and butter, mixed, poured, and beveled by hand.
My studio in Malad is not a factory. It is a workspace where the 4 to 6 week curing time is a non-negotiable part of the design. This creates a harder, longer-lasting bar that respects your skin barrier. I share this journey because I believe you should know exactly what goes into the soap you use daily. Whether it is a batch of Oudh and Sandalwood or a simple charcoal bar, the craft remains the same.
If you are looking for artisan skincare that does not hide behind branding, you are in the right place. From private label manufacturing to corporate hampers, I apply this same 'slow and steady' mindset to every partnership. I am here to make soap that feels like a piece of quiet luxury, crafted with intention in Mumbai.
Fika
I am the person behind Fika, and I am a bit of an obsessive soap maker. I believe that if you are going to make something, you do it the hard way, with pure, honest ingredients, because your skin knows the difference. My studio in Malad is where I pour, cut, and pack every single bar myself.
