In my own home, Tofa, we used a specific design thread to unify disparate elements. We installed a recurring brass band that travels across rooms, anchoring distinct pieces like a vintage Turkish rug, a Naga table, and modern upholstery. This creates a cohesive narrative without sacrificing the eclectic character of the space.

The Wabi-Sabi Philosophy

We embrace Wabi-Sabi not just as an aesthetic but as a way of living. This means prioritizing authenticity over perfection. We often work with:

• Raw Textures: Limewash finishes, matte stones, and untreated woods that develop a patina over time.
• Natural Materials: Indian marble, terracotta, and rattan, which bring grounding, tactile elements into modern apartments.
• Intentional Lighting: Moving away from standard overhead fixtures toward sculptural chandeliers, vintage lamps, and task lighting that warms the space.
