About Embassy 821, Bangalore: Modern Organic Luxury
For this project, we prioritized a monolithic approach in the bathrooms, using floor-to-ceiling travertine marble to eliminate visual clutter. This technique, paired with custom fluted woodwork, creates a spa-like environment that relies on texture rather than ornamentation to feel grand.
The Embassy 821 project in Bangalore serves as a study in warm minimalism. Our primary goal was to strip away the unnecessary, focusing instead on the interplay of light, shadow, and raw texture. By choosing a muted palette of olive green, beige, and earthy browns, we grounded the interiors in a sense of calm.
In the master suite, we used lime-washed walls to add depth to the surfaces. We avoided heavy ornamentation. Instead, we used structural elements like the curved, wood-paneled entryway to create a sense of discovery as one moves through the home. This architectural choice connects the spaces without hard transitions.
The bathrooms reflect our commitment to modern organic design. By using large slabs of travertine marble from floor to ceiling, we created a seamless, stone-clad environment that feels connected to nature. Custom fluted woodwork and industrial lighting fixtures provide the necessary contrast, ensuring the space feels warm rather than clinical. We see every piece of furniture, from the olive green chaise to the sculptural pendant lights, as an essential part of the home's narrative. This approach ensures that every corner of the residence feels intentional and personal, rather than mass-produced.
