EMS Training and Muscle Activation
I combine my physiotherapy background with EMS technology to help you activate deeper muscle groups efficiently. Whether you're here for rehab or strength, we do it safely and scientifically.
This is my unique EMS Pilates fusion in action. A client performs a kneeling chest press on the Pilates Reformer while wearing the EMS suit. The first frame shows the control console where I customize the electrical impulse intensity for each muscle group, ensuring a safe and effective workout tailored to your body.
Here, I demonstrate how we integrate EMS with traditional weight training for accelerated results. A client performs weighted squats and dumbbell chest presses, with the EMS suit intensifying the muscle contractions for greater strength gains and workout efficiency.
As an instructor with a physiotherapy background, I believe in practicing what I teach. I am demonstrating a dynamic lunge and an overhead press, showing how the EMS suit provides resistance and support through the full range of motion for a safe, controlled workout.
EMS training is versatile and can be adapted to many fitness tools. This client is engaged in a functional fitness circuit using a Pilates ring for resistance, with the EMS suit enhancing the workout by providing full-body muscle stimulation during targeted exercises.
About Featured
When you put on the EMS suit, you might find the sensation a bit strange initially, but it passes within minutes. I personally calibrate the impulse intensity—starting very low—to ensure your muscles are engaged without feeling overwhelmed. It is not just about the zap; it is about making your 20-minute session actually feel like a full hour of targeted strength work.
How My EMS Approach Works
Unlike standard gym sessions, my EMS training utilizes electrical impulses to engage muscle fibers that are often difficult to reach through voluntary contraction. Because of my background as a physiotherapist, my primary goal is not just fatigue—it is function. I use the technology to focus on deep-tissue activation while maintaining strict form to prevent injury.
Why Combine Physio and EMS?
- Clinical Safety: Before we begin, I assess your current pain levels and range of motion. If you are recovering from an injury, we use lower-frequency 'Rehab' modes to stimulate blood flow and activation without stressing the joints.
- Precision Targeting: Whether we are using the 'Hybrid Reformer' setup to engage your core during Pilates or working on 'Functional Floor' movements, I manually adjust the depth and frequency of the impulses. This is tailored to your specific biomechanical needs.
- Efficiency: You get a high-intensity workout in a fraction of the time. However, I always ensure we balance this intensity with proper cooldowns and post-workout hydration to help your muscles recover effectively.
Is It Right For You?
Whether you are an athlete looking to break a plateau or a beginner struggling with posture, we can adapt the system. The suit provides full-body stimulation, meaning your chest, back, abdominals, arms, glutes, and thighs are all firing in sync with your movements. If you want to move smarter and recover faster, this is the environment to do it in.
