At Dots Montessori, the world is our classroom. Through guided nature walks, simple science experiments, and interactive geography, we help children actively explore the wonders around them.

Sort today, sustain tomorrow. Our children learn about waste segregation by sorting items into wet, dry, and recyclable categories. This practical activity instills a sense of environmental responsibility and shows them that their actions can make a difference.

A whole new world of colors. Through a fun hand-painting activity, children discover what happens when they mix primary colors. This simple experiment is a joyful introduction to art, science, and the magic of discovery.

A little science, a lot of wonder. This experiment with a paper boat and a glass demonstrates the concept of air pressure. The boat stays dry underwater, amazing the children and sparking their curiosity about the invisible forces around them.

Our nature walk is a journey of the senses. Children touch tree bark, listen for birds, and look for tiny insects. We believe nature is a powerful teacher, and these walks encourage observation, mindfulness, and a connection to our environment.

Our nature walk took us to a local lake, where we observed the plants and animals that live there. Learning extends far beyond our four walls, and field trips like this provide rich, real-world experiences that deepen children's understanding of their world.

A field trip to the lake was a wonderful adventure for our Mont 3 children. They had a chance to connect with nature, ask questions, and learn about the local ecosystem in a hands-on, memorable way.

This color-changing water experiment is a favorite in our classroom. Using natural ingredients like turmeric and lime, children watch in amazement as the water transforms. It's a simple, magical introduction to chemical reactions.

About this collection

We don't teach science from textbooks. Instead, we use your child's natural curiosity to explore concepts like air pressure or plant biology through real-world examples. Whether we are sorting waste to learn about sustainability or watching static electricity move a ruler, our children are actively engaging with the world rather than just hearing about it.

Learning Beyond Four Walls

In a Montessori environment, science is not a subject to memorize; it is a way of understanding how the world works. Our children learn about the environment through observation, not lectures. Whether we are identifying the parts of a plant with a hands-on model or going on a nature walk in our local layout, we want children to touch, feel, and question.

Why Start Science Early?

Science at the preschool level is all about building a foundation for inquiry. By conducting simple experiments—like making a paper boat stay dry under a glass to learn about air pressure—we nurture a mindset that asks 'Why?' and 'How?'. This curiosity carries over into every other aspect of their learning, from math to language.

Our Approach to Discovery

  • Nature Connection: We believe nature is the most powerful teacher. Our walks are designed to help children observe the rhythm of the seasons, the behavior of insects, and the geography of their local area.
  • Scientific Literacy: We introduce scientific principles like chemical reactions (using kitchen staples like turmeric and lime) or static electricity. It demystifies the world and builds confidence.
  • Practical Application: Learning geography or science is most effective when it connects to daily life. Field trips, such as our supermarket adventures, help children see these concepts in action outside the school, proving that the world is a learning playground.

We are Dots Montessori, a community that has spent 12 years helping children discover their place in the world. We believe curiosity is a child’s greatest tool, so we provide the environment and the guidance for them to ask questions, observe nature, and understand big concepts through small, hands-on discoveries.
