Custom Grand Reception Gowns & Designer Wear
I create dramatic, voluminous gowns designed to celebrate your unique shape—whether it is for a reception, a party, or any event where you want to feel your absolute best.
This off-shoulder red ball gown is all about drama and volume. I used 35 meters of net, creating tiny pleats to build up the layers for a full, textured skirt. The sweetheart neckline is finished with delicate handwork for a touch of elegance.
An example of an Indo-Western gown designed specifically to be flattering for plus-size figures. The gown is fitted to the mid-waist and then flares out, while the attached georgette dupatta drapes beautifully to create a slimming effect that also covers the tummy area.
A full-length gown in a beautiful lavender shade. This piece features delicate lace fabric for the puffed sleeves and a contrasting embroidered bodice in a deeper purple, creating a romantic and elegant look for any formal occasion.
Here is another example of upcycling a traditional saree. This client brought me her black saree with a classic red and gold border, which I transformed into a full-length Anarkali-style gown with puffed sleeves, preserving the beautiful border on the hem and arms.
About Grand Gowns & Reception Wear
A truly grand gown is not just about the fabric; it is about the internal structure. To get that perfect, dramatic flare, I often use 35 meters of high-quality net paired with custom-stitched, multi-layered can-can. This ensures your dress holds its shape all evening while allowing you to move with confidence, not stiffness.
When you choose a custom gown, you are not just picking a style from a rack; you are building a garment around your body. I specialize in designing for all sizes, focusing on cuts that highlight your best features while providing support where you want it. Whether we are creating a classic ball gown or a modern fish-cut silhouette, the process involves selecting the right base—satin, organza, or crepe—and ensuring the bodice has the right amount of boning for structure.
I also love the creative challenge of upcycling. If you have an old Kanchi silk saree with a beautiful border, I can transform it into a full-length Anarkali gown or a pleated lehenga, preserving the tradition while giving it a new life. Every piece goes through multiple trials to ensure the fit is precise. From hidden pockets to detachable trails and specific sleeve detailing, we work together to get every detail right so you feel comfortable and empowered in your outfit.
